I believe the differences are ... how easily mom and next son will be returned, as opposed to the continuous and drawn out process of getting the Marine returned. .... whether one committed a crime (even an alleged weapons charge) in Mexico is not relevant ... in so far as the government obtaining his release.

You post like you think the judicial system in Mexico works like the one here!

Actually, that's the only thing "remarkable" in your post ... you "think" that!

Do you actually believe the Tarrant County Sheriff got Mom returned to the U.S.? Stupid question on your part. What I know is that they started the paperwork in the process.
The fact that he committed a crime in another country is not relevant?

Thank you for another noteworthy fact. You have nothing right in this post.

I post like I know the difference between these 2 incidents. I post like I know the most relevant fact is that he committed a crime in a sovereign nation. Most traveling Americans know there's a target painted on us and if you violate the laws of a foreign country in that country you are fucked. Because dumbass , I know the legal systems are very different. And since Midnight Express is your parents true life story, I would think you would know too. I guess when your own thinking is flawed like yours is, you wouldn't presume to tell others what they think.

What is relevant is that you tried to politicize this incident. It didn't work and now you're mad.

Did you see "RocknRolla"? You just got "Archy"ed.

We all remember this case, where this sorry little piece of shit, then 16, got drunk, and crashed his SUV into another car, and killed four people.

He got off with 10 years probation because his lawyers presented the so called "affluenza" defense, where it was said he didn't know right from wrong because of his affluent upbringing.

After being caught on video having a drunken time at a party, ( probation violation), he, with the aid of his parents, fled to Mexico.

By all accounts, the only jail time he can get is 120 days for probation violation. But, his Mom can be charged with Hindering Apprehension, a felony, and punishable by up to 10 years.

Wouldn't you love to be on that jury, and put this sorry bitch away for that long.
Jury?
I thought it was , Judge Jean Hudson Boyd who sentenced him?
the judge has retired since, but needs to be punched in the face and etc
the kid killed 4 others and injured 9 and was given probation?
drunk driving kills
Every day in America, another 28 people die as a result of drunk driving crashes. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration FARS data, 2014. http://www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov/Pubs/812102.pdf.
In 2013, 10,076 people died in drunk driving crashes - one every 52 minutes - and 290,000 were injured in drunk driving crashes.

Not enough punishment for those who drive dunk

This is in no way an "endorsement" of driving while intoxicated, but ....

.... look at the bars (establishments serving) around most any given metropolitan area.

Unintelligible attempt at justifying DWI. Of course, you'd have to be a licensed driver to get a DWI, so you're safe, Medicare leech.

Where's the substance, LLephantMan??

if affluenza is ever used as a valid defense, the law should be adjusted to put in jeopardy those who did the spoiling

I think he means the jury who might convict the mom

Correct. I re-read what I wrote. Seems pretty easy to understand what I was saying.

Maybe it could be summed up like this......."hey, bitch, because of your efforts and money, your darling little son is going to waltz through this.
Maybe he will visit you in Huntsville".

Since you went all quiet and docile afterwards it looks like a good "Archy" is all it takes to realign your "Ls".

Thank you for your participation.
