Oh hell no...the varnish nose, gasoline bouquet, and grape peels stuck between my teeth finish are un-paralleled. The stuff always gets the job done!
You just need to titrate your intake against onset of Machiafava-Bignami signs and symptoms, take a little break for a while when/if they show up, then hit it again. Also multi-vitamins, for once, are beneficial.

Some of my best experiences have been with pairing meats and cheeses, which brought out flavor a that I would have not noticed otherwise. I'd be interested in a wine good just for sipping...perhaps a port?

Where does one go in Houston to shop for good wine? I spent 3 hours on the road yesterday to hit three grocery stores, two liquor stores and three Specs looking for a particular vintage, and the closest I got was a recommendation that I try the Specs in the Woodlands.
Where is the good stuff?

For the money and a flavor so deep it'll blow your mind if you have any idea what you're doing and even if you don't . I do not know all the wines and the great names and the great flavors but when this baby hits your pallet you know that it's right. This is now my house Wine

You don't like California wines, NAPA wines, American wines, or a specific subset of what you tasted in Napa valley?
Also - still wondering where in Houston the high end wines are sold; I'm not a native.

You do know that you can search Specs stores online to find which, if any have what you're looking for, Right?
I guess you COULD just drive to them all and ask.......good luck.

Spec's super store just south of downtown (MID TOWN AREA). I shop there often, and the variety of one of the best in town.
