Is this really the advice you just give out to girls you see? Are you a financial advisor?
She can't claim to have a "private hair salon". Hair salons, "private" or otherwise, require certificates, permits, and a license from the state cosmetology board as well as periodic inspections.
A beauty boutique? Where she'd sell what? Taxable goods, one assumes. So when the county and state don't get their 6.25-8.25%, you know what will happen, right? They'll just take a generous guess at what she owes them and garnish her accounts.
There are boatloads of people in the world who don't have their finances in order. No savings, no investments, nothing for retirement. Regular people. Civilian people.
Just people.
That's the interesting thing about providers. Most of them are people, too.

You walk into your county tax office. You ask where and how you can file a dba. For a small fee, you pick a good name, and get your certificate.
Take the dba certificate to the bank and create a checking account. Not a financial account. Just a regular ass checking account. They give you a business checking account - no questions asked. It operates JUST like a personal checking account. They don't ask for tax information to supplement it, they don't ask for building permits, proof of transactions, nothing.
Now, all the utilities related to business financing are at your disposal upon opening this up. But lenders or people working in the finance department at 2nd rate car dealerships are simply not giving too much of a damn to see that shit.
You ask a dealer if bank statements will suffice. You tell them that you own your own business - you show them the money you've been funneling in and out for a 90 day time period.
If I've seen this process work on countless occasions who are you to dispute it? A lot of car dealers don't give a fuck. If you Lauren happen to work in the finance office and operate with no pressure to hit a certain quota and you want to grill a "self employed" buyer, with a fat down payment in their hand, about the property taxes they're paying on their building and city permits and what not, then that's you.

Can you tell me the ones who are not? I'll just avoid them. Or fulfill a weird fetish, one or the other.

1. I'm not a financial advisor.
2. I re-read what you wrote. Those examples I gave aren't concrete. The lady can make up what she choses to see fit.
3. Not every business account is subject to being garnished. Being scared about a 0.4% chance of repercussion without boldly diving in is kind of contrary to the mindset needed to be successful as a provider.
4. Several providers have concurred with me that in order for them to pay taxes and show proof of income they've created spoof businesses and paid their taxes on those. If she wants to pay her taxes down the line that's fine. I presented a quick 3-5 month solution as to how to qualify to get into the 2009 Dodge she wants to get into.

And you know what, if she told a hobbyist such as myself that every bit of cash she gets betters her bank statement presentation then I just might be more inclined to see her if caught in a tie on whether I should see the uber successful vet provider who's pushing a range rover already and in a 600k Townhouse in the heights.

I'm not disputing the general idea of what you're saying, Wreckshop. I think it's important to establish a credit history and report income and all that.
But my point is that you can't just choose a business, any business and launder your money through it. It's simple. But it's not that simple.
I've had several dba's. When you go down to the tax office and file for one, you don't just say, "I'll have one business, please. Thank you."
You have to give them details. Industry, sector, blah de blah de blah.
If I tell them it's a hair salon, that info gets forwarded over to the relevant state agencies. Eventually they'll want to visit with me. They do that.
If I say I'm selling lipstick out of the trunk of my car, the tax office is gonna issue me a sales tax permit along with my dba. I'm required by the state to file a sales tax return quarterly or yearly as long as I have that dba, even if my sales are zero.
If I start claiming income from my sales and I'm not paying sales taxes, Texas will garnish your shit.
Ask me how I know.
Yeah. I know. Your examples weren't "concrete". But my point is just that it's not as simple as you're trying to make it.
Lying to creditors and car dealers is one thing. The IRS and the Texas State Comptroller is another.

Maybe he lost his mind for a moment and thought America was still a free country, the way it was before the government went all Leviathan and citizenship lost its meaning.
Even a friggin' homeowners' association fucks with citizens more than the entire federal government did 102 years ago, before the sixteenth damn amendment.
