Still not seeing TV crews at the area hospitals with long lines of folks waiting either to be treated or tested. No talking to administrators about the "crisis situ". What's up?
Has Italy peaked?Interesting:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...ys/ar-BB11mr4X
The Rome-based institute has examined medical records of about 18% of the country’s coronavirus fatalities, finding that just three victims, or 0.8% of the total, had no previous pathology. Almost half of the victims suffered from at least three prior illnesses and about a fourth had either one or two previous conditions.
The average age of those who’ve died from the virus in Italy is 79.5. As of March 17, 17 people under 50 had died from the disease. All of Italy’s victims under 40 have been males with serious existing medical conditions.

From your link. Wednesday.
After deaths from the virus reached more than 2,500, with a 150% increase in the past week, health authorities have been combing through data to provide clues to help combat the spread of the disease.
Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s government is evaluating whether to extend a nationwide lockdown beyond the beginning of April, daily La Stampa reported Wednesday. Italy has more than 31,500 confirmed cases of the illness.
As of Thursday.
As of Thursday afternoon, Italy has registered 41,035 diagnoses of the coronavirus and 3,405 deaths. The death toll is now higher than China's known COVID-19 deaths of over 3,200. Earlier this month, Italy became the first Western country to launch a nationwide lockdown to contain the outbreak, but despite strict measures, the number of cases continues to rise.

Today.
More than 4,000 people have now died from the disease in Italy, the country's civil protection agency said Friday -- more than any other nation -- and nearly 6,000 new infections were confirmed in the past day, bringing the total to more than 47,000 cases.

No.
Italy hasn't peaked.
From yesterday.
Younger adults are large percentage of coronavirus hospitalizations in United States, according to new CDC data
The deadly coronavirus has been met with a bit of a shrug among some in the under-50 set in the United States. Even as public health officials repeatedly urged social distancing, the young and hip spilled out of bars on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. They gleefully hopped on flights, tweeting about the rock-bottom airfares. And they gathered in packs on beaches.
Their attitudes were based in part on early data from China, which suggested covid-19 might seriously sicken or kill the elderly — but spare the young.
Stark new data from the United States and Europe suggests otherwise.
A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention analysis of U.S. cases from Feb. 12 to March 16 released Wednesday shows 38 percent of those sick enough to be hospitalized were younger than 55.
Earlier this week, French health ministry official Jérome Salomon said half of the 300 to 400 coronavirus patients treated in intensive care units in Paris were younger than 65, and, according to numbers presented at a seminar of intensive care specialists, half the ICU patients in the Netherlands were younger than 50.

Now Lying Trump, aka Doctor Doolittle is now claiming the anti-malaria drug chloroquine could be a game changer and be a success against the virus,
Of course these false claims are just what they are...false, but that’s what Trump, aka Dr Doolittle likes to peddle.
Wildly phony claims of some miracle drug.
However Dr Fauci knocks down these false and pretty much ridicules The “doctor”
As if Trump really knows anything about medicine. He knows Zippo.
Hell he can’t even run a country, except into the ground.
But he’s playing a dangerous game by building up false hopes where the folks can be desperate to find successful treatments.
Dr Doolittle should button that mouth of his and go play golf. Or even better, just disappear...he’s a menace to society

The trumpys call pointing out their bullshit is being "too happy" about death and the market crash. This "too happy" claim comes from motherfuckers who haven't complained about or acknowledged any responsibility, for any actions, by the president of 40% of Americans.
You and your fellow trumpys have an extensive track record of poor judgment.
And now you demonstrate it again. This isn't guilt over your misplaced loyalties. You lack the character to admit your guilt in deifying a POS while elevating his and your interests over those of America.
This is just another lie by the lying liars.

The fascist DPST's - as directly above (on ignore LOL) are ...Dancing with delight... at the carnage caused by the Wuhan virus.
And lying like crazy in teh LSM that the China propaganda is true, and Trump is a mass murderer to order the American military to develop and release the Wuhan Virus.
Foolish Fascist DPST's - the propaganda converts no one's point of view - it only reinforces the Fools who want to believe due to TDS and Trump hate.
Americans with any intelligence see the falsity of the fascist DPST propaganda.
Nominate biden - the best the DPST's have - he will be incapacitated within a year. H.... is already bucking for VP- and elevation to POTUS!
Thinking Americans rejected the hag bitch previously - and will again. Coronavirus ( Wuhan) or not.

The left wing motherfuckers wanted the market to crash to take out Trump and they are happy about it.
When things stabilize and the economy gets going again you people will find some other thing to complain about - anything to oust Trump.
DPST's are .....!
Testing is ramped up and that is why the cases are now officially being counted in higher numbers but show me where the entire hospital system is being overrun?
We are handling this and even the Governors of California and New York are praising Trump!
The Chinese government covered up their complicity and you are an agent of their propaganda. China created this virus and cost the world trillions and killed many of their own people, as well as people around the world.

From the numbers and the characteristics of the virus, this may be the most humane and economically feasible way of dealing with it. Mostly only the elderly die from it. It's not like the virus will send millions of kids to their deathx. I'm not even convinced that this virus has sent a large number of old folks to their death. In Italy, that seems the case but Italy has a large number of 80 and 90 yos.
Economically, this is devastating the nation. I'm not just talking the stock market. It's crushing the people in the food service industry. Soon many small businesses will be shuttered. Only those folks with a large web presence and ability to provide services and products remotely will survive.
And what happens if two months from now the virus reappears? Are we going to shut down everything again? The countries that let the virus run through should have immunity. Maybe not. Maybe we'll have more tests. Maybe we'll have a vaccine. Maybe we won't need the vaccine but need a new one.
I don't think the populace can handle the lock down situ much longer. Human weren't really built for long term "self quarantining." You'll see infected (are some really infected?) people going out, buying stuff, socializing, partying, living with their uninfected families.
My prediction in a week or two people will demand change. City decreed laws like closing restaurant dining rooms aren't going to hold.
|
If they come out with a vaccine in a few months, I wouldn't take it. You don't know whats in it, for all you know it could have long term negative effects on your health later on. It takes years to perfect vaccines not a few months. I've gotten to the point I question everything and don't trust nobody who claim they are watching your back and lately I even question this administration.

Correct Levi.
I don't understand this whole situ. Shutdown/lockdown nearly everything? For a disease that the mortality rate keeps being adjusted downward? That basically only affects the elderly and sickly?
ENOUGH! The cure is greater than the disease. This isn't polio. This isn't sickle cell. The disease is going to wipe out maybe 10-20,000 people in the US who are "at risk" of dying anyway?
I'M NOT FOLLOWING ANY SHELTER IN PLACE ORDERS. I'M NOT GOING TO HUDDLE OUT OF "AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION." I DEMAND A RETURN TO NORMALCY.
If this disease was killing our young I wouldn't say this. But from what's being reported, it's not. Soon jobs reports will come out. It will be more devastation to the markets. A LOT of people won't be able to make rent or car notes in April.
Many folks who sheltered in place are going to look for the govt for money. I don't blame them. The govt can't print enough. The inflation will mean more devastation. None of that will bring their job back. And the shit will just loop back on itself.
The best recovery both economic and health wise is to get out there. Our health system may be temporarily overwhelmed but that's why the capacity is there. Use it. Soon, the only "flattening the curve" that will happen will be to our social well being.

bethany frankel
getting corona safety kits together and donating them to hospitals etc
the poor people are donating
the rich people are not donating, they are only looking out for their bottom line
our donations are coming from the poor people
