Austin is an incredible place to live and visit. I've been here 20+ years and wouldn't consider living anywhere else but this part of the Great State.

One of the locals' favorite T-shirts always show up around one of the numerous, world-famous musical, film and interactive tech festivals that swell our streets and fill our cash registers. Like South by Southwest, Austin City Limits, the US Grand Prix -- that's right, the only F1 race in the US -- SXSW Interactive, Film, etc. (Psst ... We just landed the X-games for the next three years). It says:



The County Line is pretty good, but didn't make the top 50 list by Texas Monthly. Probably not in the top 10 in Austin. Yes it's mainly for tourists. I assume that's the restaurant you called Countyline BBQ.

The Oasis does not offer a view of Hippie (not Hippy) Hollow. Period. And yes, it is entirely for tourists.

Tito's is locally distilled. Made from corn it's basically the same as "white lightning." You want Austin vodka? Try Deep Eddy or Dripping Springs. Both are real vodkas. Tito's is nice, but yes, it too, it's mainly for tourists.

Sixth (Ave...hahaha) Street? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I hang out there about as often as a NOLA native hangs out on Bourbon street. Yes, it's for tourists. Parts of it are pretty cool, but you wouldn't know how to find those places. They're a long way away from the "barf in the street" parts of the street that tourists roam.

UT? 52,000 students. Longhorns aren't tourists. Please, grow up.
