The President gave a news conference. We are all safe now. Why didn't he stop all planes from west Africa?

When the people in charge tell you "not to worry, we are safe" they are just blowing smoke until they can figure a way to cover their asses.

No one is fear mongering. The guy asked a simple, inoffensive question regarding hobby habits. There have been a few surprises so its not fear mongering to simply discuss it. Parents especially are concerned over the entero-68 and flu this year as well as the possibility of Ebola not being as contained as it seems. Perhaps you can't relate, but that doesn't mean you should publicly admonish those who do want to discuss it.

You stick up for guys looking for girls who appear to be prepubescent (because its their "preference") but you bash members who want to discuss their health concerns by calling them fear mongers. I thought it was against by he rules to bash others over their preference.

Presbyterian royally fucked this up. Having said that, the 2nd nurse that caught it is a fucking idiot. They were all told to self quarantine for 21 days. The first tell that you might have it is a fever. According to all the reports, that chick had a slight fever and got on a plane with around 130 other people. Nobody knows for absolute certain that ebola cant be transmitted through the air. They just don't think it can unless someone sneezes on you. They don't know how long ebola can be infectious on a surface outside the body. They just know it can. That's why CDC is trying to track down everyone on the plane with her and everyone that was on the 5 later flights that day from the same plane. If a nurse from patient zero that knew all the risks got on a plane, what do you think the chances are that everyone on the plane with her and the 5 later flights have enough sense to follow the self quarantine? Not fucking likely. I am not saying it is time to freak the fuck out. I am just saying that its going to take up to 21 days before we truly understand how bad this is.

I think broes had one of the best pertinent posts on this issue I've read so far based on what I've seen concerning this "crisis". The fact that the second health provider travelled is by far the most alarming thing that I've heard about and it remains to be seen if there is any infection. Based on what I've read over and over there shouldn't be a problem unless she's lying.

I think a good insight to what we as US citizens (and Dallasites) face compared to what's going on at ground zero in West Africa as well as how badly it has been handled by the CDC is summed up VERY well in the following:

The link I posted in a previous reply is for the WHO...World Health Organization. The unfiltered guide lines for Ebola (not the cleansed version the CDC is feedingus)
Fever is ONE OF the first symptoms but not neccesarily THE first symptom. You could get the headache first then the fever or the muscle aches then the fever. A headache...how many self monitor people get one of those at the grocery store and think its just stress. And it is sexually transmitted for weeks AFTER a person has recovered so they are carriers. Checking temps at the airport is a bandaid on a gunshot wound.

I never said that a fever was the first symptom. I said it was the first tell. People get headaches and muscle aches all the fucking time and don't think twice about them because they are so common. When someone develops a fever they know something out of the ordinary is going on.

The absolute FACT is you can only get infected by someone who is infectious. They are infectious when they are physically sick ie. a fever of at least, at the very LEAST 100.5 degrees Fahrenheit. If they happen to be sick enough to be sweating like crazy or vomiting or have diarrhea they will be way too sick to be walking around wanting to fuck and suck. Watch the videos of hundreds and thousands of people in Africa. When/if, God forbid its in multiple cities with more than two or three people NOT confined to isolation. Then, start to worry. Meanwhile, worry about the flu and all of the false positives...it is NOT an airborne virus. No, I'm not a doctor and I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn last night but the information is readily available and well documented.

Why does everyone on here think they are in a contest. The reply I made was not in rebuttle of anyone but rather in addition to and a link to information for the 1000 people reading this thread. I thought this was a thread to discuss Ebola and share information. Chill out. Nobody is helped by arguing and this is too important for all the bickering that has been in this thread.

Opinion are like assholes, everyone's got one and they think everyone else's stink.
Thathottnurse...thank you for the other forum where everyone must be polite:-)

I will continue to do my full menu, including BBBJ, SS, PM and kissing. But I don't plan on seeing any clients that look ill in any way. Temperature monitoring is important.

I've been an infection control nurse and worked in isolation ICU's for over 8 years. And I'm not worried about Ebola. I've started asking clients if they feel well, and I can tell by touching them if they have a fever.

NO ONE should hobby if they are symptomatic of any illness. I got my flu shot and pneumonia shot last month and that's always a good idea. Most drugstores offer them.

You can tell by touch if someone is a degree or two over 98.6? Can you also tell by touch if someone is retarded? If so, that must make masturbation weird.

I hope overreacting to posts isn't the True First Sign of Ebola? If so, someone may need to self-quarantine themselves for 21 days. But, I only have one asshole and multiple opinions and I really hate wasting them defending Broes, but someone overreacted and it wasn't him.
