However, sometimes life deals a different card. Through PM's we've reached a common ground discussing something totally away from the hobby which is performance cars and racing the quarter mile. He and I both got off our online personas and talked like brothers about our car stories. It's been a pleasure to swap PM's with him.

My two established favorites migrated, probably to California, not long after the law changed in late 2021. Interestingly, they actually asked me to help them drive to L.A., on what I presume was an exploratory road trip, shortly before they left Houston, for good. I have been out of the “hobby,” since then.

The mention of Figueroa prompted me to google that, and the videos I found were quite interesting. That is a bit of a drive, though; I cannot explain that one, so easily, to the SO. Plus, though I loved the thrill of the hunt, on the street, I have aged-out of being able to see well, at night, and my reflexes are getting a bit slow, causing me to lose my edge, in a situation that could get out of hand, quickly.

Perhaps I should return to visiting AMPs, though I reckon that world has changed, too.

I reckon that I have played the street game a bit different than many do. Right up front, I would ask if she does car dates, and if so, whether I get to pick the spot. I did not go to no-tell hotels. This would eliminate me from consideration, by most of the girls, but, that was OK. Some few would still go along with my plan. Notably, ten years ago, I bought one of the last full-sized pick-up trucks to still have a bench front seat, to facilitate “road head.”

Before I met my current SO, I had a wild-child girlfriend, who liked to go for long night drives, while she would often be bottomless, with her top often unbuttoned. Her choice! She liked to “feel the breeze.” In the tall 4WD SUV I owned, at the time, other drivers could not readily see her, from most angles, unless she let her bare ass get too high, while she was on her knees, as she leaned across the console. (That is why I selected my next truck. with no console.) So, ever since then, wanting to relive the silliness of “truck dating” and “road head” that time was my motivation to start street hunting.

Of course, now that smart phones allow sharing one’s location, a pimp or accomplice could track her phone, which would be a reason to avoid resuming street hunting.
