IT'S FAKE!!!!!
Stop feeding the trolls..... as Nicolet so eloquently said.
And remember, I never have and never will send out mass emails. Even if it appears to come from my real address, it will be fake. I do NOT send out mass emails, and this is one of the many reasons why (emails can be spoofed).
Always,
Gina

People that are receiving these emails should post the header information or the IP address of where the message is coming from.

I just wonder how much the troll that took the time to cause all this is feeling about all this? Pretty satisfied, I would say. Just shows that that person does not have much of a life, I would say. So how about we all just move along to other, more important pursuits instead of helping him/her/it/them get more jollies over it all?
And just for the record, GinaXXX is the Gina of Preferred 411 if anyone has any questions about it.

And don't forget, we all have Al Gore to thank for inventing the Internet in the first place.

I noticed on both these domains he set up forwarding to the real site to try to make these domains look legitimate.

It might be a real person, but that name and address is NOT of the person who registered these domains.
Please do not engage in any vigilantism with that information.
The person/people behind this spends their entire life "spoofing" people. You cannot believe anything you see coming from them. I've been dealing with them for years, and they don't deserve any of this attention.
Delete. Ignore. Please. If you feed into the "drama and intrigue", you are just giving them what they want.
Always,
Gina

what is weird is the site source indicates that it is pulling the real preferred411.com site up so my guess it is an IP capture.. (not a source code monkey am I) but viewing a web page is not illegal... however, they can compare IP's to emails they might get etc.. to see who is frequent flyers

When you purchase a domain, you can forward it to ANY existing site you wish. It takes 2 seconds and costs nothing. You do not need to have any real connection to the site you point it to.
I can make any of my sites point to google.com or eccie.net if I want. So it's not strange at all. Please stop feeding the trolls!!

Gina, I have worked for web hosting companies before and large networks.. one of my duties was tracking credit card fraud usage on sites signed up with bogus cards.
the info I speak of is PUBLIC information per say, you just need to know where to look for it. And I am not advocating we go all "vigilante" on them.. but the more you know about your enemies (if that is a good word for it) the better.
Snoop onto them as they snoop onto us I always say.....
Think of it like "client research" you check the backgrounds etc of a client before you see him.... well this is the same.. the info is just that.. info..
once you use it for other than informing you then you have crossed the line.

To be honest, this whole breach of security makes me think twice about p411. It is a pretty basic set of in-house protocols to prevent this type of data-theft.
I also know that a determined employee can get just about any data they want, given enough time and that I am sure there is more to the story than what has been released to us. And that is fine.
As with most company thefts, I am sure safety procedures will be in place from now on.
But this is just me, who happens to work in data management industry.

Did I miss something? The "employee theft" was another spoofed email. As far as I know, no one really knows where the distribution list originated.
