Trump claiming that Obama and Clinton are responsible for the creation of ISIS is just more desperate flailing for his base.

God. There is a severe disconnect between Republicans on a state/local level (and I'm from TX, we pretty much define the GOP) and this blatant idiocy going on at the national level within the GOP. Any Republican who doesn't have his head shoved up his own ass should be acknowledging this.

Odumbo and hildebeest's pathetically poor foreign policy decisions did create ISIS, Relapsedjunkie. And the real disconnect was when Odumbo failed to recognize the substantial threats posed by al Qaeda, ISIL and Russia, RelapsedJunkie, you know the first he said was "defeated and on the run", the second he called "the JV Team" and the third he discounted as a relic notional threat from the Cold War era.

No actually I didn't I will not be in the country on the 8th and will be casting my absentee ballot on the 6th which is the last day I can have it submitted in my jurisdiction. If OLD GUY Had a decent memory he would know that casting absentee ballots is very common for military personelle.

I don't think Trump is flailing. He's just putting out information that nobody likes to hear. This country is a done deal and Hillary Clinton isn't going to change a thing. We will be sending troops all over the Middle East for years to come. As long as we have these morons in office we'll never have peace in this country or the world. Terrorism will continue to flourish because it's permitted too.

Politifact just rated Clinton's statement that Trump was used in recruiting videos by ISIS as false. As I said, I certainly trust Politifact's opinions over your opinions. When you win a Pulitzer Prize get back to me.

Whether or not ISIS, in some form, existed prior to 2014? Again, I will go with Politifact which believes differently than you. If you have a problem, send a note to Politifact and argue with them. If you choose not to believe Politifact, here are other sources which talk about the origination of ISIS. If you have a link to a website that supports your claim that the foundation for ISIS began in 2014, please supply it. Your OPINION carries little weight.

The militant group ISIS was formed as a small insurgent group in Iraq in 2006. Swann noted that while they tried to create problems for the U.S. military, they had no money and no real ability to recruit.

Most Americans became familiar with the Islamic State group - better known as ISIS, ISIL or even daesh -back in 2014 when videos of their brutal beheadings made headlines. But the group's origins stretch back much further. Many experts, including Columbia University's Austin Long, attribute the rising of ISIS to the war in Iraq.

The organization rebranded in late 2006, officially changing its name to the Islamic State of Iraq in an attempt to separate from al-Qaida central after the U.S. killed Zarqawi. It's big rebirth came with the 2011 civil war in Syria.

What formerly known as “al-Qaeda in Iraq” was the terrorist organization “the Stranger” founded, so the new al Qaeda was rebranded in 2006 as the Islamic State in Iraq (ISI), then it adds “and Syria” (Levant) to its name later. The last “s” of “Isis” comes from the Arabic word “al-Sham”, meaning Levant, Syria or occasionally Damascus. (The name in Arabic is Daa’sh).

Excellent point. Certainly one that I missed. Thanks for the clarification.

Are you actually insinuating that you're sixty some years old and still in the service as an enlisted soldier, Lubed Wide-ass? You're a fraud, Lubed Wide-ass. The mandatory retirement age for enlisted personnel in 2013 was 55, Lubed Wide-ass, and you said you've been voting since 1976. That would make you at least 58, now, Lubed Wide-ass, meaning that without extenuating circumstance you should've retired in 2013 ... or earlier considering how your highest stated rank was E-8.

BTW, Lubed Wide-ass, presidential elections aren't beauty contests or dog races, Lubed Wide-ass. One chooses candidates most aligned with their own philosophies, Lubed Wide-ass, and in this instance, hildebest is the alien beast from the black lagoon of socialism and not in any manner a "conservative", Lubed Wide-ass.

Actually I am not surprised. This country is inundated with liars, cheats and schemers. I heard someone say the other day that they think Trump is working for Clinton. He's deliberately throwing the election so she'll win. Who knows, I am not that impressed with Trump to say that can't be the case. If Clinton wins it will be just more of the same shenanigans anyway. Not much to look forward to.

Not to mention his brain injury disability .... from a shrapnel hit!

"disabled vet" ... post #69 ..."My Sincere Apology" thread ...

"Just to let you guys know I seen action in two wars and have hit by shrapnel defending this country that I love - perhaps if you guys would stop being insensitive pricks you would appreciate my service. I am a disabled vet and proud of my military service that some of you seem to make light of and its all coming from the republicans in this forum. Have you guys no honor. Someone here has made fun of my weight and others of my military service - shame."

".....in United States Code 38. The term “Veteran” means a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service, and who was discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable...."

Now you're saying 2006. In your previous post (#44) you said ISIS did not exist before 2014. What happened?

The question was NEVER when the name ISIS originated.

The question is when did the group of Islamic extremists that eventually became ISIS began taking shape? The answer, as far as ever article I can find on the subject, points to 2006. If you have ANYTHING other than your own OPINION as to when the creation of ISIS began, please provide a link.

You'd be the jack-wad that cited the article with a 2006 date, speedy, but the reality is there was no organization identified as ISIS before 2014, speedy.

It really hurts my head to argue with you. I keep asking myself "Is he really that stupid?"

Facts are facts, speedy. There was no organization called ISIS before 2014, and ISIS was an organization that was created by new alignments betwixt multiple insurgent groups featuring different leaders in key positions wholly unique geopolitically from anything that came before it, speedy.

IBH ... you do realize, don't you, that you are exchanging posts with someone who "believes" what matters is what and where you think you are at the moment one "perceives" their persona for a particular moment n life .....

.. for instance .. He was taught to just say .....

... FUCK HISTORICAL FACTS ... I am what I "perceive" myself to be in the place in which I "perceive" myself to be ....

Perhaps that is why he has readily accepted the Obaminable "transgender mindset" in which he desires to go into a ladies' restroom so at the moment of his desire he "perceives" himself to be a "lady" for that moment. The HISTORICAL FACT of the presence of a dick and balls since his birth is "not relevant" to the determination that be "belongs" in the ladies' room!!!!

Eg. "Clarksville" rant he regurgitates in a nonsensical froth.

As one of his heroes would say: "It depends on what "is" is"

Buying a vehicle from either one of them is risky business!!!
