What happened to the ticket prices for Game 7? On Monday it was $600 just for standing room and over $700 for actual seats. After the game tonight, there was a ton of seats for just $350. Is ZP the only believer in this town?

Lol. No. I watched the game with bank and slit at a bar with for the most part believers.
Kinda glad I wasn’t there cuz I’m getting sick of all the “strikes” that was clearly balls called against us. Especially on Uncle mike. I don’t mind shitty calls if it’s the same for both teams. But one sides sucks.
All good. MLB is making their money with 7 games and we will finish it off. The Walgreens players can go home empty hand and I’ll prepare for the parade. :-)

As much as I want the Astros to win the way I've seen it the balls and strikes have been called pretty consistently. Yeah there were a couple of glaring punch outs last night that didn't go their way but it happened to the Nats in game 5 in a huge situation so I'm not going to complain about a disparity. One of the Nats clearly checked a swing before breaking the plane of the first base line and got punched out by the first base ump on an appeal.
MLB has done a lot to keep the game clean with reviewable calls like the opening hit by Turner. I don't mind that at all. They have the technology to take the pitch calls away from the home plate umpire, I don't want to see that happen. I like it the way it is as long as the ump is consistent in his strike zone.
A bigger problem for me last night was that seemingly endless review on the interference call which wasn't even reviewable. Harris was just standing around and subsequently gave up a huge uncharacteristic HR. Relief pitchers come in pumped up and pitch on that adrenaline. Harris lost his and it turned the game.
The Astros have played best with their backs against the wall. It's winner take all tonight. Doesn't get any more desperate than that. Hopefully they can jump on Sherzer early. Greinke only gave up 1 run in 4.2 in game 3 and the bull pen pitched lights out. They need the same quality start(Cole should be available if needed). And score some fucking runs and put the game away early.

Maybe Max of the Nats was not really sick for Game 5. They kept him out because they knew they could not beat Cole. That left them with Strasburg to beat Verlander, and Max to finish the deal in game 7.

I'm predicting the Nats will take the series tonight.. big momentum shift after the first base interference call last night.. the last 3 Series winners won on the road.. EVERY game in this Series has been won on the road.
back to the momentum shift.. I saw a big shift in game 6 of the 2010 Series, when the Cardinals were one strike away (twice) from losing to the Rangers, but won in extra innings.. I knew the wind was sapped from the Rangers' sails, and they would roll over in game 7.. they did. I don't think the Astros will cave tonight, but I don't think they have what it takes to bounce back.
Nats 5
Astros 3

Stick a fork in the Astros, these muthafuckas are done.
Talking about taking it back. These muthafuckin Nationals came in here and snatched it from them in their own fucking backyard!!!
You simply cannot sit on a 2-0 lead for five or six innings with the Nats. They got too many gotdamn hitters! And you also can't leave guys on base without scoring!
What the fuck is wrong with A.J. Hinch?? He should've never pulled Grienke out of the game. I was hoping to see Cole but it really didn't matter. SMH...
This is the first fucking World Series in history where NO team has won at home.
At least they got the American League Pennant but they had the best record in the league, only to LOSE AT HOME ALL 4 MUTHAFUCKIN' GAMES to a wild card team. Talk about choking the fuck under pressure!!
Also I'm with ZP when she said Fuck Joe Buck. As much as he talks about Juan Soto's age I believe he would suck his dick!! I already know he's happy that the Nats won.
Washington Nationals MLB World Champions(man I'm madder than a muthafucka right now)

I told you this morning the Nats would take this.. the Astros' bullpen needs help, and the team didn't have the will to win like the Nats.

Left too many runners on base. How the fuck do you not score with runners on 1st and 2nd with zero outs. A bunt and a sac fly should score one run but Chorinos couldn't even lay a bunt down.
Greinke pitched a great game. Pulling him was a knee jerk reaction. That mid 60's curveball makes him look like today's version of Bob Knepper. When it's biting like that it's unhittable.
Oh well, just wait til next year. Vegas already has them as 4:1 favorites to win in 2020. They need to pick up another starter or two in the off season. I think James is kind of slotted for one of those positions but I don't have a lot of confidence in him. Verlander and Greinke are under contract for two more seasons.
Altuve, Bregman, Reddick, Brantley and Gurriel are the only position players locked in for next year.
Springer is arbitration eligible. He got a 2 year deal last time and the Astros need to make another deal with him to avoid arbitration and lock him down long term.
Correa is also arbitration eligible. He doesn't deserve a Springer type deal in my opinion. Injuries have been a problem and he's gone from cleanup to the bottom of the order. The flip side is there aren't a lot of FA SS available. Don't know what they have in the minors. Bregman can play SS and a 3rd baseman might be a little easier to sign.
Both catchers are FA.
Alvarez might be ready to take a position in RF.
