I haven't heard of anyone talking about boycotting the Spurs. Popovich certainly laced into Trump and the NFL hullabaloo on media day the other day.
This is America! The OP and his friends are free to not watch or go to NFL games or give up NFL Season ticket. Colin and the NFL players can keep kneeling (and face whatever ramifications that entails). People aggrieved can take actions, if that makes them feel better great. The NFL isn't going anywhere (hell, it survived games with strike breakers).
I personally am boycotting any provider who only offers CBJ.

“Of course the people don’t want war. But after all, it’s the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it’s always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it’s a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger.”
— Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials
Sorry but this is all just manufactured outrage to make people not pay attention to the lack of progress being made to keep promises to the electorate. Its the same thing all politicians have done (both Democrats and Republicans) in order to distract us from promises on the campaign trail that can't be brought to fruition. Flag burning amendments, marriage amendments, bathroom bills, etc are all historic ways to distract us from the fact that our politicians don't do anything that helps the average US citizen with jobs, healthcare, safety, etc. Its no coincidence that Trump made this statement right after McCain said he wasn't going to support the ACA repeal and another campaign promise did not come true. And most of the country has taken the bait and ignored another failed attempt. They've been distracted from US citizens dying and not getting relief from the hurricanes, we're inching towards the threat of nuclear war, tax cuts have been defined for the richest and may or may not be given to everyone else, and we're concerned about kneeling during the anthem. The sooner people stop letting these shiny distractions take their eyes off of the reality of politics in this country, the sooner real change for people can happen. Until then, the swamp isn't getting drained, its getting deeper.
Just my 2 cents.

That is what so many people are missing. The athletes kneeling are not doing it for themselves, but rather for others who are mistreated. Those athletes devote a great deal of time and effort and $$$ to the social causes Believe me that they know how lucky they are to be in this country.

Is there any particular reason why they couldn't have taken a knee to bring attention to the cause either before or after the anthem? It's like they've started this thing and now they can't give in because it's too far gone.
As with all things in America the bottom line is money. Screw Trump because Money is the real president and when it stops coming in that's when you'll see heads start to roll.

It's not a word, but idiot is and you fit the mold! For you to understand, it is slang, meaning made up or taking the place of a real word, why am I even arguing with an idiot? Look it up in Webster's and tell me the definition from there, done!

Why didn't you defend them? Were their views not PC enough for you?
Let that sink in.

The best thing to come out of this whole flap is the dimretards exposing themselves for what they are. They had to make a choice, and choose they did... They hate patriotism and they hate America. Good luck in 2018. They're going to need it.

You're NOT arguing. If you knew how to argue with any proficiency, you wouldn't have seized on the word "libtard". That's a cop-out and a deflection. Especially when you know damn well what it means.
Many slang words become a common and accepted part of the popular lexicon. More dictionaries already contain the word libtard than don't.
P.S. I'll let you know when I'm "done" with you.

Uh-oh... you'd better provide aroundagain with a comprehensive definition of that word. He only understands slang on a 3rd-grade level.

It's better to be thought a fool, than open your mouth and remove all doubt! I can see your intellect is lacking, you go on and believe it's a word! Did Merriam Webster tell you it was a word? Didn't think so, take your ass back to the Pittsburgh forums!
