Of course, i could have mistaken the OP. Maybe OP really meant electoral “collage,” in which case you’re all off topic!

Here’s an electoral collage for you.

Those articles are bullshit as they intentionally ignore that New York and New Jersey were still slave states when the Constitution was adopted, and that Virginia had a population almost twice as large as Pennsylvania's and more than Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Massachusetts combined.

Then there were the populations of the other seven slave states to consider.

The Electoral College was established as an extension of the Great Compromise which guaranteed a voice to the states with small populations -- NOT slave states.

I can't see any way a bunch of small states would be stupid enough to give up their electoral college power no matter what the origins of the system are now said to be.

Perhaps the solution for California is more state's rights and a weakening of the Federal system?

I mispoke. Its not New Jersey, they are an NPV state. Its delaware that's looking to do the NPV.

I see some small states are NPVs. Vermont (3), Rhode Island (4) and Connecticut (7)

An interesting off shoot to the NPV is the resistance most of the Democrat leadership still apply to popular primary vote being overridden by the will of the Super Delegates.

They still want to "fix" the primary, yet go to popular vote for the General Election.

His thought process tends toward more simple concepts and phrases in keeping with his humble station in life.

I think that back when he was a small town newspaperman they kept him in the women's section so as not to create much displeasure among the paying subscribers.

Yeah I heard they started him out writing obits but his one-word "eulogies" didn't go over well with families of the deceased - so they moved him to the women's section where he could do reviews of hildebeest's pantsuits.
