This is so true...for instance the word 'bitch'...when called that on the street or other venue would be offensive...but get me in the rough and rowdy mood for it, and it spurs me on. Same as the term "riding bitch" in reference to riding on the back of a motorcycle....I'm the perpetual bitch in that instance. Although occasionally I have called someone baby, in no way meaning to lump anyone together...I think it's just a way of showing affection. However, most of the time I use darlin', it's just me.
However, I would hate to think I was laying a landmine for someone who chose to spend time with me...always having to watch what they said so as not to offend. Unless they reminded me ahead that calling them something in particular got on their nerves...how am I to know, or they to know with me? Most of the time when in the throws, I call the person by their name, and would only call someone daddy if we had talked about doing so beforehand. There is something to be said for chivalry and politeness...but it's all about what turns you on and makes you happy. Kisses, Lace
