Talent, probably, but not much brains. Success and $ got to the little they had, aired their profound political position to please some audience somewhere and hurt themselves in the process. Good!
Same with Roger Waters from Pink Floyd, or Ted Nuggent. and Oprah and all the others involved in funding the political machinery with their stardom personas... They look so stupid when they get involved.

All these artists, and other celebrities assume their opinion counts. They just vent their egomaniacal statements to make the headlines and sell more of their wares and make more money... But do not donate the proceeds. Same on both sides of the political divide. Silence is wisdom!
