When I think of how thankful I am that Steve Patterson got rid of that awful Rick Barnes, tears of joy stream down my face. Wait, that may just be my allergies. But after that horrible 20-14 season with a first round NCAA loss, and that disgusting 400+ win record, something obviously had to be done. Whatever happened to that Myles Turner guy he recruited anyway? We haven't had such a positive change in basketball coaches since Abe Lemons was dumped by Deloser Dodds for Bob (take a charge!) Weltlich.

I was a huge Barnes fan. I met Rick several times and he was super friendly to myself and my family. Basketball awards diners. But it was time for him to go. We would be a top 10 team and we would lose steam every year going thru the conference and then to the NCAA. He was so tough on those guys he would lose them. The funny thing is, Smart was supposed to be a D guru and he fucking sucks! Barnes was D 1st to a fault, but at least we played D. I'm really disappointed in Smart.

Which number one seed will be the first to fall? I think unc. Thry have Kentucky and ucla in their bracket. I think Kansas' pathway is the easiest and wv might do something

I think the West is the easiest bracket and Gonzaga will be the first #1 to fall with Arizona into the final four and Villanova to repeat as champs.

So Shaka is apparently on Georgetowns radar. I hope they get him and Texas doesn't do something dumb like last year. He has 15M gtd.

Texas has a top 5 recruiting class with Mo Bamba signing. I didn't renew my season tickets. Had them for >10 years. I think I'm getting sucked back in. Last year was just fucking torture to go down there and watch that crap.
