Actually, I do know what's going on in golf. It is the same thing that happens in every other sport. What you wrote is entirely possible - and NOT because of his race. But because he is a big winner and the face of the game.
The top players in EVERY sport get shown favoritism - even when it comes to foul calls in basketball and hockey.
Michael Jordan and many other top players were protected from rough play more than journeymen were and the 3-step rule for traveling was merely a suggestion when he was driving for a slam dunk.
Wayne Gretsky also got protected from rough checks that would have been treated as hard but clean hits if they were made on most any other player.
That's reality. It has nothing to do with race.
But there is nothing about this particular ruling that indicated favoritism. They assessed a two-stroke penalty. But you seem to be convinced that the ONLY acceptable penalty is disqualification - despite the fact that the rules were relaxed for the specific purpose of NOT having so many DQs.
