I am way into foreign, I saw the devil was great, the raid...
I buy a ton of movies from video screams and have since I was a teenager.
When I very first started UTR I would post on cl and dating sites about being a sugar baby, wanting to get pampered, and wanting to meet up at a hotel and get reimbursed for the room and gifts.
This 38yo Gent contacted me and explained how he had all the time and money in the world until he died and no one to spend either with or on (cancer ). He talked about working so much and never having time for books, movies, going on a dates, learning to cook, friends, family...
He set up dates and would bring groceries for us to cook dinner, bake something, and a movie every week. Plus he would buy us each a book once a month that we would read on our own and talk about it each visit. He got me into a lot of movies that I never would have watched like the edge, American beauty, boiler room, and so on. He also got me more into Jack Ketchem(sp?) Who is a great horror author. It was really cool having a movie and book buddy.

Jack Ketchum's Off Season is one of the creepiest books I've ever read. Stephen King once called Ketchum "the scariest guy in America".

Hell yeah! I only read watchers and wasn't impressed until the Gent bought me others. Damn he makes Stephen King look like he writes goosebumps when you compare the two.

Newest movie on my list...hmmm...Django Unchained
Quentin Tarantino is one sick director but definitely one of the best!

I like Stephen King, but sometimes I think he needs a good editor. Some of his more recent novels are a little too long in my opinion.

I wish Tarantino would make another film like Jackie Brown. Love that movie.

His stuff is good, but not exactly my favorite style.
My faves in the murder mystery creepy area:
John Katzenbach, The Traveler
Theresa Monsour, Clean Cut

I liked the whale movie with Drew Barrymore this year?! I know I am lame, but True Romance is not lame IMHO.

I love that movie also, but the violence is a little too much for me.

It is a bit much for me too, but this movie is worth it for me!
You sound like me
I am a complete chicken when it comes to scary movies. The gremlins terrify me, y'all are probably too young to remember that one, lol.
I can read scary, I just can barely watch scary.
Chainsaw scene in Scarface, and the teeth on the curb in American History X have given me nightmares, on occasion, to this day.
Just need a new invention that covers both eyes and ears at the same time, then I will be able to go watch Texas chainsaw massacre in 3D with my best friend lol

Recently saw the Dark Knight Rises, Skyfall and Django. They were decent but not great. The Dark Knight with Heath Ledger as the Joker was much better. Skyfall was a little slow at times. Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace were better. Daniel Craig is the best Bond by far. Some of my favorite all time movies are Lord of the Rings trilogy, Saving Private Ryan, Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump.

Besides the original, the only Texas Chainsaw movie I've liked is Part 2. That's only because Chop-Top, Leatherface's Vietnam Vet/Dark Hippy older brother is hilarious.
I'm about to watch Horrible Bosses. Hopefully it's a decent comedy. I remember from the trailer that Jennifer Aniston deepthroats a banana, so it can't be all bad.

OMFG! lol, some people are just sick! Reminds me of the time I was a kid and my hamster died. My mom and I called my uncle to take it out of the cage to burry it because we were to creeped out, and he put it in a ziplock and threw it around at us watching us freak out in absolute horror... Hehe... SICK!
I couldn't watch it to the end.. So I hope nobody lost a leg Pyramider??
