Honestly, people act like it is all upside for the ladies and downside for the men. But what I can't wrap my head around is this - the risk for the ladies.

Ladies post GRAPHIC ads that are a laundry list of what they offer...including a price tag and a request for a deposit.

All that is necessary for an arrest is the offer of services and the acceptance of money (or agreeing to accept money). While an ad is not an offer (legally) - once someone contacts you FROM THAT AD and you accept money in relation to it, now you have an offer and an acceptance. How does anyone think that is not enough for an arrest?

While I'd never recommend giving a deposit to a new provider, I don't see anything wrong with giving a deposit to someone like the OP.

She's worked years to gain her reputation and in all my years around these parts, I've never heard of her doing anything remotely shady.

Now provides with new handles or providers that have changed their handle numerous times over the years, that is a whole seperate matter.

Also, great, established providers are much more interested in building long term clients vs. taking a deposit & running.

I have a friend that if you cancel, she requires you to pay for the next session in full via deposit before she'll re-book with you.

She could easily take that $400 & run, but she doesn't. She keeps her word.

But then again, she's been on the board since 2010 & has never changed her name.

Longevity & reputation should be taken into account before prepaying any amount.

I've never missed an appointment, but I can't count how many providers have flaked on me...too many, including reputable ECCIE ladies.

That is why I tend to stick with the scary LC ladies, at least my expectations are low, so when we meet they at exceeded.
