True. He has had his share of injuries. Superman has been fairly injury free.
Another big man in LA with a Superman tattoo?

I would say 5 playoff wins in a row shows some consistency. And, you can say whatever you want, but I watched every minute of that '06 series and that was the most nauseatingly one-sided officiated series I have ever seen in ANY sport. (Well, since MJ retired, anyway) It's hard to stop someone when you're not permitted to guard them. Although I don't truly believe in a sinister conspiracy, I do believe in more than one gullible official having a huge DWade man-crush.
Here's one of my favorite D-Fucking-Wade "foul" clips:

Bynum has shown a history of injury. That doesn't get better as you age. Bynum is prolly a bit more offensively skilled, but Howard is a beast and would beat Bynum up in the post in a 7 game series. Give me Howard any day.

It has been nice watching Bynum evolve. Can you imagine what he would be right now if he did not hurt both of his knees? If someone told me before the playoffs started that Bynum would have been the Lakers best player, I would have asked them how much they had to drink. Bynum seems to be the only Laker who actually gives a shit and plays hard out there. But he's also played the least amount of games than all of the starters so he's probably the only one who still has his legs.
As far as Bynum for Howard, Howard is the best center in the game, and I don't trust a 23 year olds long term health with 2 surgically repaired knees. And I think Howard may actually be a Cyborg. I don't think Cyborgs can get hurt. It's rumored that Howard wants to be a Laker. The Lakers have to make that trade if it's available.

From what I've read, there is a long thread in Men's lounge waiting on you to address some questions about your agenda. Why don't you take it there and not be a tough guy on this thread, while you duck those questions there, on a thread where guys are actually asking specific questions about your agenda? Are you going to ask for this thread to be closed too because you don't like my comments?
This thread is about basketball, and that's what we are talking about. Not you having a hissy fit about Boltfan jokingly calling bullshit on some of your recent reviews.....Let's keep this thread about basketball, and not the questionable legitimacy of your Penthouse forum bullshit reviews.

Well, we can see that "Lakers in 5" ain't gonna happen. But I think I am gonna take my earnings from SPTL's "invesment advice" and head to Wal-Mart.....
I think there will be a definite increase in the value of "BROOMS", probably will peak around noon-time this afternoon.......
Look for me in the gas station parking lot, (mention this ad and get a free Mav's t-shirt)
Gonna be a good one folks!!
GO MAV'S!!!

So where is Boltfan? crickets do I hear crickets. Hell I have seen pee wee teams that would have given more effort than what the Lakers did and with more class. Typical whining by the Lakers as well as thug style basketball.

Man, talk about lessons learned here.
Let's let BF off the hook - he's a good poster, got wrapped up in favorite fever, etc.
But my personal opinion, I bet cha Odom & Bynam will try to keep their children from seeing their actions in game 4- that's real world.

I guess Kobe was right about being sick in the head after all. . .
What a massacre. And, can't believe the classless thuggery we were forced to witness at the end. Only Kobe took his ass-whipping like a man and a champion. Fucking cowardly for the biggest man on the court to cheap shot the smallest man on the court, IMO. Hope Bynum's suspension is long and painful. What a pitiful way to send out Jackson. Just low-budget and pitiful.

Surprised that the cheap shots did not start earlier.
Really thought they would try to out muscle us earlier and try to get into our heads.
Nice to see that a rested Mav team goes into the next round and talk about depth today? Go Mavs!

#1 - Congratulations to the Mavericks. Never before have I seen them close out an opponent like this, stepping on their throat and ripping the win from them. Bodes well for future rounds. Other than the fact it was against the Lakers I am happy for them. Not many out there believed in the Mavericks because they frankly have never shown this side to them. The Portland series really wasn't an indication because they could have put them away in 5 yet blew it in game 4. They were a more talented team than the Blazers which is why they have 7 game series to eliminate chance.
#2 - Now Mavs fans, don't fall prey to getting excited over lesser accomplishments because your franchise has never won anything. I am a Chargers fan, I know of what I speak. In regards to them I am happy when we simply get a playoff win. I am not content with the Lakers simply going to or winning in the playoffs in the same fashion. If they do not win it all I am unsatisfied.
#3 - Now don't get the righteous indignation over the cheap shots the Lakers took (I am sure I will see them on Sportcenter) when you can't even call out your own for the same antics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIGGJ...eature=related
Jason Terry pulled the same bullshit on the Lakers. While I think it is bad sportsmanship both ways the Mavs are not an innocent party here.
8 more wins Mavs fans. 8 more wins.
Oh, and OHM, you can kindly... nevermind. Your Spurs are out AND have no future. You better smarten up, not a good idea to threaten someone you have never met. Typical no life Spurs fan. When the going gets tough they resort to personal attacks that have nothing to do with the conversation at hand. Take your 3 1/2 rings and find your happy place because something tells me you will be no better than a 6 seed in the playoffs next year, destined to lose in the first round.

Wah wah wah typical of you Boltfan. Face it the days of your Lakers is long gone now and I have an idea that Magic will do a complete overhaul of them. I have never in my life watched and enjoyed seeing the Lakers get their asses handed to them and then resort to their usual classless basketball just like their fans are as much as I did this series.
And typical of you Boltfan to mention 3 1/2 rings but if I am not mistaken every team played the same amout of games in the lock out season and had the same opportunity to win the championship but the Spurs did so DEAL WITH IT. And I guess if offering to buy you a beer in SA is your idea of a threat then you are a bigger idiot than I gave you credit for but my offer still stands. BTW if any of you Maverick fans made a wager with Boltfan don't expect to see your winnings anytime soon as he still owes some of us here in SA from a few years ago. BTW Boltfan your Lakers are watching the same as the Spurs are so don't get all half cocked as if you won anything. :laughing1 : At least we can say our team has a heart and played until the series ended and did not have to resort to thug basketball. Your Lakers have no heart and are a bunch of quitters who resorted to a thug style of basketball. :laughin g1:

Man, I've got bad news for you. The Lakers will be completely fine. You know who won't be fine? The Spurs, because unlike the Lakers, the Spurs have no trade able assets that won't result in pennies on the dollar in a trade.
My guess is the Lakers will be smart and blow up their team. They'll get younger and more athletic. Why? Because the Lake show will always continue and they have arguably the best owner in sports, (10 championships since 1980 pretty much says it all.) The Spurs on the other hand, they're fucked.
Just curious, what team do you think the vast majority of players want to play for?? Yep, you got it; the Lakers. And that's exactly why they never stay down for long. They'll be back on top within 2 years if not next year, (assuming there is even a season next year.)
And yeah, your Spurs showed a lot of heart having the best record in the league, (tied with the Bulls) and having a top seed in the West and losing to a last seed. You should be really proud about that. A 1st seed taking an 8th seed to six games before losing the series is really something to brag about.
Yeah, the Lakers sucked. But they sucked and still went further than the Spurs. I know, nothing at all to brag about considering the ass whipping the Lakers received from the Mavs, but still, at least they made it out of the 1st round.
Please kill me, I can't believe I am even bragging about making it out of the 1st round as a Lakers fan. This series has me completely confused about everything. I am still in shock.

All I know is that I woke up in the 3rd quarter and thought I was seeing some fake BS. I couldn't believe that we were up by so much, IN A PLAYOFF game.
And the flagrant fouls thrown by the lakers were pissy ass fits. I play pick up games and have for a long time. We talk a lot of shit, and may get into it here and there - but puh-lease. That is 3 yr old BS that the lakers babies pulled.

Magic has his head, once again, up his ass with making comments about blowing up the Lakers. Hey Magic, here's a news flash for you: The Lakers had the second best record this year, and if for not blowing a lead in games 1 and 3 in the last minutes (very unLakerlike), the series would be 2-2 now going back to L.A. I give the Mav's credit: they played unbelievable and I don't think any team would have beaten them in game 4. I hope they keep it up and win it all against Boston in the finals.
But all this talk about dismantling the Lakers and trading for Dwight Howard is just laughable, because they couldn't close out games 1 and 3? Having said that, it is obvious the Lakers have some problems, but not "blowing up the team" problems. Hell, Kobe could have still won game 1 if he had hit his last 3 point shot (sorry, no mamba anymore). But is Magic seriously thinking of breaking up Bynum, Gasol and Odom, probably the best big man trio in the NBA? Come on......all that group needs is some mental therapy and a little TLC and they will be fine. Fisher, on the other hand, needs to go. That's the only change I would make.
