Lust--a need to fulfill physical " desires{mostly on a sexual level,but not limited to}

Any guy who's been married a few years knows the difference:
Lust= you get actions
Love= you get words

I look for what you might call "friendship" with "mutual benefits", that seems to work best for me.

Here is my .02 cent worth. Lust is easy, lust is the get down to it physical no emotional feelings. Love, while can have it's moment of lust, is a deep feeling inside a feeling of completeness, a connection if you will. The feeling of security that person brings.The hurt you feel for them and the joy as well. Accepting each others faults. Mostly, it's about being a friend, lover and confidant. Theres my take. Back to regular programming.

This is a good thread.........while I tend to agree with alot of the definitions on here, give or take, my view is not that simple.
I feel that lust, while basically meaning there is a physical "attraction" in your mind, and then perhaps, your TCB skills and/or wallet gets you BCD with said individual(s) for what could possibly be some great, passionate, sex, most of the time without the "commitment" of having to be true friends, (at least at first) nor having to worry about extraneous issues outside the bedroom.
Love, is a broader topic and ranges greatly in definition from a genuine care for a person, be it from a true friend and/or lover, to trust and is much more emotional, and I will say that lust can be in the definition of love as the sex part, (often referred as making love), plays a great deal in the definition as well, but is only a small part of the definition.
Both lust and love have emotional feelings and it is very healthy to have both.

“From a Man’s POV”
“From a Man’s POV”
Love is:
A Bond
A Soul Mate
You’re Lover
Complete Trust
Your Best Friend
2-Hearts beating as one
She makes your heart sing
She can do no wrong in your eyes
You can’t stand to be away from her
She knows all your dirty little secrets
She knows you better than you know yourself
You want no other woman because, you got the best
As strong as a Man is, he cannot protect his heart against it
And it REALLY hurts in the Divorce.
Lust is:
Eye Candy
A strong feeling
An Extreme Attraction
A Heated Animal Desire
A Moment in time when, all that matters is that O

I am not offended, but your correct, you don't know me PERSONALLY ... as in outside the hobby.
My personal relationships or friendships that know "the real me" feel the Love!
"Berkleighs" vocabulary is limited to keeping it real.
I don't find it harsh to be truthful by wanting to keep it simple and the two emotions separate.
As hardcore as I seem, I love unconditionally.
But the reality is that I am not here for Love...

It’s a thin line between love and hate, but love and lust is joined together, what comes first.
The psychology of love and lust: Love is an intense feeling of affection and care towards another person. It is a profound and caring attraction. On the other hand, lust is a strong desire of a sexual nature. So just have sex and fall in love!

Eh, except for Berkleigh's example, doesn't really matter. The whole concept of love has been argued for a long, long time. Some people think true love doesn't exist. Not because they are depressing, but because the concept is supposed to be eternal, and psycologically you are not the same persone you were 5 years ago. I go along the idea of if you think you fell in love with a provider, keep your mouth shut and enjoy the ride. And Berkleigh's example is why you should go along that idea. As for finding out the difference here: as good a place as any.
