Unfortunately for them they have not found any except in the fevered imagination of their leader, Ol’ Schitzenpants. Just because they keep claiming voter fraud doesn’t mean that it exists and this law just adds more regulation and effort needed to register and to actually vote.

Making it harder to vote is not the solution to a non existent problem.

... HOW is voter security - "suppression"??

And how is "showing ID" making it harder to vote??

... Stopping voting fraud is the reason for the bill.

The more requirements you need to meet before you can vote the harder it is to vote. i.e. you suppress the vote when you add more requirements.

Voter ID might not be a burden to you but it is to some. The reason why I don’t think voter identification is necessary is because the amount of voter fraud didn’t change even after the new laws went into effect. This is a solution in need of a problem.

If anyone is interested you can read up on it here.

Show us the list of names. Explain how showing ID is a hurdle.

The new laws enacted in Texas in 2021 did nothing to lessen fraud in elections but certainly made it more difficult for many to cast legal votes. Thousands of valid mail-in ballots were thrown out in a 2022 election due to unnecesary new requirements. Since Democrats use mail-in ballots more than Republicans, Abbott was successful in signing a bill that hurt Democratic voters.

"Thousands of mail-in ballots were thrown out in Texas
The new law does a few things: It bans 24-hour and drive-through voting, prevents officials from mailing unsolicited mail-in ballot applications, requires monthly voter roll checks, and gives more latitude to poll watchers. It also adds a requirement that voters provide their driver’s license number or the last four digits of their Social Security number when applying for a mail-in ballot and write that same number on their mail-in ballot when sending it in."

I know it is a hurdle for the elderly. Personal experience in taking my grandfather to the polls. I wouldn't venture to guess the percentage of people like him who could get everything together to vote.

I have no problems with people being asked to prove they are the ones on the rosters.
