What type of moderation do you feel is needed in upstate?

I am one of the original founding members of the GOBC and a current member, and I don't remember ever meeting GP. Of course with all the handle changes here, who knows? Maybe GP is Paul in disguise?

It's really disappointing that this thread has been allowed to be hijacked, especially with an active Mod's participation. Please let's get back on topic, What type of moderation are we looking for in Upstate?
Number 1, this is an example of what type of moderation I'm not looking for, I'm also looking for Mods who don't play favorites, don't have hidden agendas, crack down on misbehavior quickly and with an even hand. I guess I'm looking for the Wizard of Mods(OZ). Good luck GMan. Let's take this other crap to another thread!

Perhaps if you had approached it in a different manner, your suggestion may have garnered you more favorable results. Coming at things in attack mode usually does not help any situation.

I'll bring this back on topic a bit.
GMan, you are new to our little corner of the world, but obviously you are not new to ECCIE and it's inner workings.
"Campaigns" have been started to bring back some banned members. I'm sure that these bans may have been deserved. But when you see an outpouring of support to bring someone back, what are your thoughts?
Being new here, are you more likely to give these individuals a second chance?
It's easy enough to re ban an individual is it not?

I appreciate the answers that you were able to give me via our PM's and wish you well during your stay in the chaos that we call Upset NY.

What the fuck does the opinion of the masses have to do with bans? If the ban wasn't overturned by the owners, then why do the masses have any say in what happens?

To a certain extent, you people get to decide how these forums are controlled...but when a violation occurs, it's out of your hands, it's in the hands of the owners and other moderators. Your wishes are irrelevant.

They serve their time, the same as anyone else.
