Maybe get her a Rosetta Stone and after six months exposure, she can do this. She'll get free housing, a car and about 2000 monthly. There is a poll to select the next Houston mod. I know one candidate will pay $1K to set up different handles and have you vote for him. Can't tell you the dudes name but thinck you can figure it out.

Have you try to get verified and post your provider ad? Jk Jk. All jokes aside sell your electronics and anything else that is valuable at a pawn shop or online. And then get a regular job...or a second job and it will all work out. I see you got your problem solved,so you can try this next time you are in a tight spot. If you have any special skills try to get gigs. If it doesn't make the amount you need, they are always hiring at labare (just kidding).
Good luck overseas. xoxo

But getting out there on craigslist might be your best option. It's free. If you do not get responses right off the bat, don't be discouraged.
Also, go to a temp agency. They could have you working tomorrow, possibly. It's never a lot of fun the type of work, although one time I did work at a fertility clinic and had to shake up semen in a machine after it was harvested, among other duties. But there are different types of temp agencies .
www.imprimis.com
This is a good place to start and it's very high end. But they might not have the type of work that you're looking for. But it's a good start and they will guide you in a different direction if need be. I was actually offered full time employment through this company but declined the position. They have a lot to offer people.
Good luck!!!
Elisabeth
P.S. If you have the ability, and it's pretty friendly to use, create a wordpress blog and advertise what you can do and offer. Then, place in tags the things that you're offering. "handy man" "consulting engineer and specialties" things like that so Google and other search engines will pick up on it. Many of the newer and more advance websites are going to a wordpress blog because it's very easy to augment and add to. Again, good luck!

Craigslist is easy to post to, but don't expect much from it, there are 2 to 5000 people answering ads that people post for work needed and work offered. I was in Houston, in the service industry,I would put an ad on for a carpenter or sheetrocker, get 50 replies with the hour, all willing to work next to nothing. Iwould answer ad's looking for work, no go, the assault of low priced labor is amazing, mostly hispanic.

Mr. Stepdad:
When you get back and the job situation still sucks may I suggest going into HVAC. Have to get EPA certified. I see how you are some sort of a mechanic...
Maybe when you get over there you can make some friends that repair air conditioning and learn stuff from them, perhaps by doing those folks favors

First of all don't panic bro. Now, why the first of the month, and I mean exactly what are you fear will happen at the 1st? Do you live in a House or an Apt? Do you have a car, if so is it financed or paid for? Do you have at least the necessities, food, water, clothing, gas?

Nobody looks at dates or reads post anymore. Just the 1st page then replies to knowledge off of that information. Information is power, why not just gather it all? Read the whole thread first

Why bump a thread that is more than 30 days old?
Do you save old newspapers and reread them?

oh, and for the rest of you that were following this, my first check hit my account on 4/1/2011. Almost $5000. I started getting paid on 3/2/2011 but hazard pay did not kick in untill 3/11/2011. Next month should be close to $7000 or more!
