I've long since given up expecting the majority of people on any message board to utilize correct spelling and grammar.

There are a variety of things I find here, that are quite irritating...

Ladies that have the same age on their profile or used in ad's... for more than 5 years!

The term "Classy" is almost always incorrectly used. Those I've met who are, would never say it of themselves, those who use it, usually aren't!

That is a very succinct summation of how I feel, but I'm trying real hard not to let all that stuff bother me too much. It really doesn't matter that much, here on a message board where the goal is getting laid/getting paid, and most of the people that are guilty of the shit that really grinds my gears don't care and won't change anyway.

I continue to be amazed by the number of people who undress by removing their cloths rather than clothes.

Yes, I know the following will be ignored by those who abuse pronouns, but I'll post it anyway.

Number one all time IMHO.....one simple letter I. It's (proper because it's a contraction of it is) a SUBJECTIVE pronoun. That means in a standard sentence it is used in advance of the verb.

correct example.....I went to the lake with her and Fred.
incorrect example.....Fred went to the lake with her and I. (Compound objects confuse many)....As a simple test, eliminate the words her and and. Then listen to your sentence. Does Fred went to the lake with I sound correct?

I is not an OBJECTIVE pronoun, ME is the choice here. An objective pronoun commonly follows the verb or is the object of a preposition.

correct example....Fred, please bring ME a beer.
incorrect example.....ME and Fred drank a case of beer.

Tomorrow, bring lined white paper and two number 2 pencils. We'll begin diagramming sentences.

Loose in place of lose. Definitely the most annoying one for me. Although a close second is a guy I work with using "want" instead of "won't". Talk about confusing. This was an actual IM conversation:

Me: "Will you be at this meeting?"
Him: "I want be there."
Me: "You want be there? What? You want to be there? What the hell does that mean? Either you'll be there or you won't."
Him: "Right. I want be there."
Me, later on in the meeting: "I have no idea if he'll be here. He said he wants to."

"cents" for "sense" for "since" (or the other way around)

I am so guilty of this one that it's completely embarrassing.

I'm always making grammatical mistakes but of course, I try not to.

Still argue with my mother concerning the use of commas. "Then" and "than" were always words that were confusing to me.

I see "advise" and "advice" used incorrectly a lot.

There are a bunch of them, though. "Add" and "ad" seems to bother me quite a bit when I see it.

my biggest pet peeve for a misused word is when a lady talks glowingly about a client and she mistakenly puts another client's name in place of mine.

Another word that simply does not exist: "irregardless". The word is "regardless".

Oh, and what's the difference between "flammable" and "inflammable"?
