M&G AL/MS????

Two weeks might be pushing things a little especially since we haven't figured out where yet, and I would have to agree that Monday probably isn't the best idea for a good night. Seems Thursday's are good with majority...

Tunica was talked about before .... which I believe our TN friends were interested?

Silver Star would need to be the meeting place if we do casino in Philadelphia because it seems the Blue Moon is semi closed during the week

My girlfriends and I just want the chance to party ;-)...I suppose now "where" is irrelevant...I have had no response in the AL thread ... sigh

Sorry Hon, As an Alabama hobbyist, I must have misread the 'bama thread because I thought it was to be discussed here instead of there....

Recent past there have been times that M&G's in 'bama have been planned, even ones that were "free" with virtually no takers. Can't lay a finger on why...

how does middle of September sound?
Thursdays are bad for me .....Wednesday sound good for majority?

We are looking at Meridian or B-ham

I believe the casino in Phili would not be a good idea since that is the only place around there to meet...wouldn't be hard to figure out where we were.

Dinner in Tuscaloosa has had a little interest but I like the idea of the bigger cities.

Dallas Tunica would be a bit far for our AL friends. Golden Moon would be ok or Sliver Star in Philly. They are both across the street from each other. As far as Meridian goes lilith it would have to be one of the resturants like maybe Ol'Charley or I hear of plans of opening a new bar & grill in the mall soon but not sure when it is due to open. If no more come than at Jackson we could do O'Charley they have a large open area by the bar that we could reserve. OR I also like the idea of one of the casinos in Philly.

Sorry did not read all the post before sending the above one. Middle of September would be fine for me. Only thing is if we do it in the middle of the week, or anytime during the week, I would prefer B'Ham as I will be in Atlanta during the week.

OK, time for a reality check. Do we have enough indication from both ladies and gentelment in AL and MS that this is a realistic M&G? I see that a few people have responded, but really not very many. The AL board is very quiet - I'm the mod there, so I look at it regularly, and I've not seen much interest in a M&G.

I'm not trying to suggest that it's not a good idea, since I think M&Gs are a great idea, but I just want to find out if there's enough interest to make it happen. Personally, I hope it does.
