It is you who haven't a clue.
Like I said before, to expect someone who's disabled to make multiple trips out to a meter is placing an undo burden on them. If you'd put yourself in someone else's shoes for a moment you might realize that.
Ouch. I actually heard that bitch-slap land on Whirly's head.

And Washington DC is abandoning the practice of free meter parking and instituting fees.
You got a link to what length of time the "typical parking meter user" stays in their metered spot? You don't know any more than I do how long those people are staying in those spots or what they're doing. If they're not staying long, as you claim, is the city really losing that much revenue? Is it costing you more money? No and no. You're just whining cause someone is getting something you're not.
As for it being a quick trip in and out, I'll bet it is. If you're able bodied. Your lack of empathy and self awareness on this issue is staggering.
I've got a deal for you though. I'll put up the money for you to get a double amputation and you can have all the free parking downtown you want. Howzat?

Yeah, I saw that but figured I'd let it go. Shoulda known somebody in this crowd would jump on it.
It was there, it was easy, and you took it. Well played.

It was beyond stupid and mean-spirited. I won't stand down. WPF proves again what creep he is.

I guess you ignored this in the headline.

I like Ducbutter's posts. I treat all posters the same, he was not posting for sympathy.

As I stated before, spend a week in a wheelchair some time. You'll have all the answer you need.
There are folks who have handicapped stickers who can walk distances and are NOT in wheelchairs. Some of them have family members who are "handicapped" and use the sticker to get a more CONVENIENT SPOT.

I'm still struggling with what being in a wheel chair has to do with one's qualifications for a shot at living in the Governor's Mansion in Texas.

The ad was about him being a Hypocrite and not even capable of having compassion for someone that He has Figuratively walked in their shoes.

Actually the ad seems to be turning in her favor.

Though she still has no chance and never did.

This is still a red state.

She's toast. Her chances were always slim and none and she has run a terrible campaign, just awful.

The more interesting race, albeit at a local level, is the contest for District Attorney in Dallas. Susan Hawk v. Craig Watkins

Wendy Davis has her sights on something other than Texas politics.

A stint at CNN or MSNBC maybe? Or within the Democratic Party apparatus. Cushy lobbying job?

Her political career in Texas is over. She is no Ann Richards.
