Banning travel, as I said before, from West Africa is not enough. This report says that we need to also ban travel from countries that have not banned travel from W. Africa:

For starters, the most reliable study modeling the effect of the ban concluded that even if the world managed to scale back air traffic flows by 80 percent, it would delay the international spread of the disease by only a few weeks. But the 80 percent goal is itself completely unrealistic. Why? Because it would require a far wider ban than one against Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone, the three countries at the epicenter of the outbreak. It would require, for example, America to ban flights from countries that themselves have not banned travel to the affected countries. Otherwise, potentially infected people could simply fly to some country where they could get a connecting flight to their final destination, just like Duncan did, flying from Monrovia to Brussels before boarding a flight to the U.S.

I say under 10.

This is nothing but a political game....the more the GOP can scare, the better their chances are in the mid term. You are one naive dumbass if you do not realize this.
Problem is, who do we believe?
The CDC and the WHO seem to be downplaying the reality for political purposes as well. Why are they playing politics? I can kind of understand the CDC but the WHO? Who is pulling their strings? Why are they concerned one bit about the economies of these countries? As usual the truth is going to be somewhere in the middle.

How is this happening? A deadly, highly contagious virus is the Administration's fault.

Leave it to you happy assholes to turn everything into an attack on POTUS.

Nurse #2 was improperly protected during her exposure to the original patient... Her suit wasn't sealed, exposing her throat of all places. Nurse #1 is doing better. this was in at least one national newscast last night.

I agree that they fucked up by not grounding the nurse from flying to Cleveland. But the real culprit here is the douchebag who brought it home and lied about his condition.

You boys are howling at the moon again.

Hunker down, bunker clowns!

No, it's not Obama's fault that one guy got here by taking multiple flights. Not at all.
He does need to be doing something to prevent it from happening again and he needs to be leading the process on containing the problem here. Doesn't seem like he's doing either. I will give him credit for getting back to DC yesterday and putting this at the top of his priorities finally.

It's not the administrations fault for the virus. It's the psychological hype they are imposing on us that is their fault.

Remember:

He doesn't have to be "there" to run things, or not run them.

Not anymore.

Nurse No. 1 developed breathing problems and is being transferred to an NIH hospital in Maryland.

What you MISSED is the information provided BY THE CDC to the hospital with a picture of the "suit" that was considered proper "protocol" by the CDC AND the suit did not 100% cover her skin (the one depicted in the diagram and instructions for the CDC protocol ..... EVEN THOUGH ...

the suit the CDC Director WORE IN AFRICA was COMPLETELY SEALED so that after he went into a clinic he could be washed down with chlorine .... which was also displayed in a photo (only published at the Congressional hearing today TO THE DIRECTOR who was asked directly about the DIFFERENCES) ..

AND YOU DIDN'T SEE THAT INFORMATION because when you are blabbing your eyes are shut along with your brain. Let me capsulize it for you ..

the CDC KNEW the protocol was inadequate before Duncan ever arrived!

1. The nurse was following protocol. She did self monitoring and called the CDC to report her elevated temperature of 99.5 F.

2. The scientists at the CDC set the max to 101.5 to determine if one could fly. Her temperature was under the max and she was allowed by the CDC to get on the plane.

3. Perhaps the scientists at the CDC need to revise what the max temperature should be before they give the green light to let someone on a plane.

4. She should not lose her license. It was not her fault that the CDC allowed her to get on the plane.

Elitist liberal Nancy Snyderman, who think she is above quarantine rules, got a woman fired...all over the fact that Snyderman wanted soup !

TMZ is reporting the chef at Snyderman's soup restaurant has a sister named Vilma who works as a maid. Fearing Vilma might have contracted Ebola from her brother, two of her customers gave her the heave-ho.

Oh yeah, Snyderman is a Northeast Liberal....as chief medical reporter for NBC news she was out front and center shilling for Obamacare ! One of the many rank and file liars that promoted Obamacare.

It' a shame; good 1st responders like the Presby Hospital nurses are getting sick and Snyderman escapes the wrath of Ebola (so far).

You fellas are REALLY hitting the panic button.

I'm particularly impressed with the notion that our President is at fault, and how this turned into an attack on "elitist liberal" reporters, POTUS and any fellow posters who happen to give a fuck about America.

I'm not saying I'm comfortable with Ebola being in the US, but you boys is losing it.

Again.

+100 ...

The only qualification I would give is she should have been more "conservative" and not flown with others, potentially exposing them, regardless of what the CDC said.

But for the administration to blame her when the administration gave the "ok" for her to travel is ridiculous.....but unfortunately for a lot of people typical of this administration to look for others to blame other than themselves.

You do know that you don't have a fever till it gets over 100 don't you? Of course if you have treated a person who has died, and a coworker who has contracted Ebola from this person common sense would tell you something may be amiss. I am not giving the fool a freebie who told her to fly if they had all the information. But where was the hospital on this? there is blame enough to go around other than wanting to blame the administration.
