I like Paxson, met him at a fundraiser, shook his hand, and made a totally legal and aboveboard contribution. I'm probably not helping him at all mentioning him on a SHMB, but I doubt it hurts him.

Yes, if he broke the law he deserves to pay the price commensurate with his actions, and not be thrown to the mercy of assholes like TimmyBoy.
As for people losing money, that is a known risk of investing. It all depends on the facts of the case, and I imagine they are complicated.
I do not like crooks nor want them to get away with their crimes.
