I think its funny when you're banging a chick with a shit dog like that and he yipes the whole time thinking you're killing his master.

...better than the dog thinking its master is already dead ....
.... e.g. no yelping!
Note to Jemma: It's about the dog, not you.

My dog doesn't even do that so they need to get facts correct before pointing fingers!

Unfortunately a lot of the animal shelters in Houston are full. I found a kitten a while back and the only "no kill" shelter in Houston had a 36 month waiting list before they would take her. Luckily I found someone to take her because there is no way I could keep her that long!
The best answer I think is just to spay or neuter because there are just not enough homes out there for all the strays.

Turning kittens loose at a park is no good either...
cause the hawks, eagles and vultures will pick them off
Saddest thing I ever saw was at a rest stop on I 45 south of Dallas and there was this large furry dog, some sort of a collie mix...
Waiting for the master 'to come back'
I could not get close to the dog but I got 3 beef sticks out of the vending machine and laid them down after getting the dogs attention-- I backed off and the dog came to eat. The dog continued to wait....
There is this ferrel cat that comes around for breakfast and dinner
One time he disappeared for a week
Then he reappeared and was real skittish
A week goes by and we noticed that somebody neutered the boy and one ear got 'tagged' !!!! [TNR = tag neuter release]
There are ladies that will covertly neuter cats in my neighborhood

The dog story is making me sad. Poor thing! Now that's a true friend...just waiting for his owner I hate people for doing this to their animals. It's fucked up! Animals can also die from depression. The people at the SPCA told me this.

My dog struck gold when it came to me! Two weeks before xsmas last year the motherfucker was at my front porch when i got home from work. I was like WTF! I never thought that I would own a sob! That goes to show. Anyways I ranned his ass off and went inside. About 20 minutes later I went outside and the sob Fwas right back. So I fed his ass. Keep in mind it was cold than a moherfucker outside, I put a bunch of rags together to keep'em warm. He was a very sick dog I tell you. He could have died. He would make terrible coughing sounds. A week later I took him to the vet and motherfucker!!!, it had heart warms, hot spots, hair falling off and shit. I felt so bad for his ass that I coughed up the money to treat its ass. That was not cheap!!!! Dammn dog had to stay at the vet for 3 days x 2. Got him his treatments and shit. Fortunetally he was already neutered. Good thing it was trained before it became to me. 6 months later he looks like a champ! BTW,on the plus side, I took him to the park a couple of months later, it walks up to a civi chick, I strike conversation with her. I tell her its story and a couple of weeks later I am tapping her ASS doggie style. I tell you that dog does not leave my side when I'm around. It doesn't bitch and whine about anything. Lol

Hornfreak cool story
Had this little mutt roaming around my house sometimes i tried to shoo it off but on most days when i was outside and feeling nice id give him some food but it would always ran off into the woods. This went of for a few months then one day had a few guys tail me to my place and they were looking to give me beating (not goinging into details) as i was about to get my skull crushed in i hear a yell and looked to see the mutt tearing at one of the dudes leg. The other 2 were just stuned and try to kick him off but he just barked and try to bit at them they fled and as soon as they were gone he came and licked my face.Took him a while to get use to being indoors and house training was a bitch but he has been the best dog yet and glad to say hes my best friend.

Yes it's sad, but what about cows, pigs, and chickens and all of those delicious food critters? They're animals just like dogs and cats but because we eat them, we tend not to thinck about, or care about their treatment.
Veal? A calf is raised,l tethered inside of a 4ft.x 4ft plywood box, not allowed to move because movement builds muscle and muscle isn't as tender...
ehhh...never mind. I eat the hell out of the animal groups. I hunt, fish, and harvest lots of table fare...plus I'm a dog person, so yeah, I understand the intent of this thread. So yeah, I guess that makes me somewhat of a hypocrite, then doesn't it?
I'm just throwing something out there to consider...

How 'bout stray cats? Do they fry up nicer than house cats?

Absolutely...
Before some of you people go off my 16 yo dog came from Special Pals in Houston. Don't know if they are still in operation.
But...
Many of the "rescuers" are simply sick in the head and have many misplaced priorities. My mother-in-law spends WAY more than her paycheck on all the animals she rescues. She barely knows her grandchildren exists. I want to keep it that way and have called the SPCA on her.
Is it the abandoned animals fault? Sadly, yes. The Wal-marts of Spring and Tomball are just loaded with "Pit Bulls for sale" and "Free Kitten" signs on the weekends. Forget Craigslist.
Dammit people get your pets spayed and neutered. And the people who DON'T get their pets spayed and neutered, please use the money to get YOURSELF spayed and neutered.

Every cat and dog that has come into my yard belongs or belonged to someone else. The someone else is responsible for their cat or dog. But like a lot of other people they shift their responsibilities for their own "stuff" onto me .... and invade my space with their irresponsibility.
As for "fixing" the critters .... there are "programs" and vets that provide low cost operations so "expense" is no excuse ... it's the same as above. Failing to take responsibllity.
Gnad: "....please use the money to get YOURSELF spayed and neutered."
Have you?
