NeoLiberals don't think it's a tax... They really believe it's a civil right... But if you can get it at Walmart for ten bucks... How can it be a civil right?

That is a GOOD thing!

The judicial system is sufficiently effective to sort out legitimate religious beliefs and convictions to determine whether or not in a specific situation the government is "taxing" a religion, whether intentionally or inadvertently.

As more cases find their way up the judicial ladder, the "wisdom" of the majority's conclusion as opined by Roberts in finding the mandate is a "tax" will become clearer .... aside from the fact that he made Obaminable a liar about the ACA not creating a new "tax' on the voters.

BTW: Does anyone know how much ACA "taxes" have been "collected"?

Do you?

You do realize it was a 5-4 decision. Had Sandra D O' Connor not retired or retired after 2008 it would have been 5-4 the other way. , so us squawking about the SC getting it right just depends on if we agree with them. Think about that Mr. thinks he Knows it all.

This "mandate" for contraception was not voted on by the Congress. It was not in the original ACA. It was added after the fact by Sebilius on orders from Obama (Imperial presidency). The real law in question here is the RFRA of 1993. Who voted to confirm that people had a "right" to not have to participate in government programs if it violated their faith? Here is a partial list;

Bill Clinton signed it into law.

Howard McKeon who introduced the bill.

Dean Gallo who co-introduced the bill.

Nancy Pelosi who voted YES for the bill.

Harry Reid who voted YES for the bill.

It was Bush and Cheney's fault.
