I have to ask in all seriousness if you don't understand math. If the population grows and death rates remain static... guess what there will be more deaths year over year. 346K dead due to COVID... Should be more accurately stated 346 K died w/ COVID... lord knows that if you fell off a ladder and died and had the Wuhan Flu, it was chalked up as a COVID death.
Spend some time looking at the numbers. Total deaths increased by 25,702 from 2017 to 2018. Then by 15,633 from 2018 to 2019. And then a whopping 503,976 from 2019 to 2020. Why were only 345,323 deaths attributed to COVID ion 2020? Well it looks like there were anomalous jumps in the number of deaths from heart disease, Alzheimers and diabetes from 2019 to 2020. There were undoubtedly people whose deaths were attributed to these conditions, who wouldn't have died in 2020 if not for COVID.

The estimate of people who've died from COVID is 618,000, not 346,000. The 346,000 is just for 2020.
Your reasoning about the economy is backwards. See my response to Jacuzzme. While we don't have much to worry about in Texas, at least where I live, politicians in other states will take steps that will hurt the economy and destroy jobs when COVID gets out of control. The best way we can prevent this from happening is to voluntarily get vaccinated, and voluntarily wear masks (preferably KN95 or N95) and social distance when appropriate.

Fair enough, good point. Dr. Ivonne Lopez Lopez, who's in the front lines against COVID in McAllen, Texas, was on Marc Siegel's program on Doctor Radio the other evening. She said a group of 1500 illegal immigrants were tested for COVID in her area, and 20% tested positive for COVID! 1. a “virus” that can’t be proven it EXISTS in a court of law
2. that’s so deadly that people who don’t know they have it can “spread it
3. that’s a respiratory illness that “spikes” in the summer when respiratory illnesses don’t spike in the Summer
4. that’s now a “variant” which is soooo deadly, but really when so-called “mutations or variants” are proven to get weaker…not stronger..
5. Which by the way, that fraud Fauci says being vaccinated now doesn’t apply to the “Delta variant”, meaning the people who got got “vaccinated” got vaccinated for nothing & continues to do so as if that makes sense ��
