I know some older folks who worked their asses off all their lives at low paying jobs and get minimal social security. And I know people who never worked a day in their lives and do pretty well on Welfare.

I agree and relate. I do have a day job, but I personally am not full filled. Its mundane / monotonous. I DO have a degree. Yet, if I did not need to work a regular job for health insurance, id be all about professionally " Dating" as my main source of income.
