So we have two Mods, Namssa and Duke of G who have opposing views on putting "See ROS" for the Activity line. If I put "Sex" would that count? And has a guy gotten P. A. credit for it? Because I have seen it more than once.
I'm not trying to be a smart-ass... Just want to know and follow the rules.
Here's what I've read in these posts:
1. Reviews help the clients and Providers in different ways. The guys benefit from several reviews of a lady...not just one. And they benefit her to get her Verified, plus a few good reviews of her help her get started in her business.
2. Non-reviewers, like SD2011 and NearHauteRed lump reviews as useless to them and have no use for them. They also don't pay to support this site.
3. There is no perfect way to write reviews as they are now. But without them, this place would not be ECCIE.
Maybe the Review format itself needs some shifting around; a little revamping. Maybe a new thread with posts from members (AND Providers) offering suggestions: "What Would You Like To See Changed, Added or Deleted From The Review Forums?"
We actually might get some productive answers.

How is that helping the advertising/marketing of the provider? 2. I have seen "quacking" of reviews and the guys that do it have no idea if the hobbyist saw the provider or not, they just like to stir shit up. All reasons point to drama that can be avoided by either closing the review to comments once it is posted or the jackanapes of the members can learn to grow up, neither of which will happen, so I choose to not review at this time. I do not need to read reviews (at least, on this site) to determine if I would to see a provider for a session, but in any event, to basically tell someone their opinions on hobby related subject can no way be any good just because they have no posted reviews or they are newly signed up is harebrained, but what is more is the fact you have "seasoned" board members that have the same opinion on a subject either say that it is not true, because they do not have the cajones to let others know that someone new to sign up makes a valid point, or they just sit there and say nothing because they do not want to be labeled for agreeing with someone who is considered by the "in-crowd" a worthless person. Do the members here think that they are the only ones who live and know about the hobby lifestyle and know anything about escorts? We all had to be a rookie at one point, maybe since you got belittled when you were starting out on this or the other site that it is okay to do it now that you are a vet of the board. Nice rationale!

Tony,
You're complaining of people that are not tolerant of a view that differs from yours but that's exactly what you do - you write an article to defend all of your views to everyone that responds to you.
You are not reading what people are saying because you cannot accept or do not like the answer - it's been said several times reviews are not the only qualifier to be contributing - people that comment about what you're saying they don't like WHAT you contribute. Several have recommended you chill a bit, learn the lay of the land, and contribute when appropriate and where it could be good input (insight, funny, good intellect, ect). You refuse to listen to this good, heartfelt advice, you continue to respond to EVERYTHING - regardless if it applies to you or not. There are MANY people here that do not write reviews that I VERY much respect and appreciate their input - again, it's about the quality of your posts - THIS is what you're missing.
As someone else said, I have no idea if you're for real or just a bored kid so keeping that in mind I'm done with you because either way I get nothing from you being here.

"...I was a lurker there as well..."
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is Tony II's bio. Everything else is random musing on the justification of lurkers.

Prolongus...yes, some have gone for credit, some have been rejected. We try for consistent, but thems is the breaks.
Personally, I think lazy reviews and "I'm not gonna share with the non-PA" is bullshit. Everyone started somewhere, and complete reviews in the public face are the reason people get curious enough to try their own hand at reviews or purchase PA, which, as some have pointed, is the core of this site.

The Activities line is redundant. Her Activities are listed on her website and P411. And guys pretty much describe the Activities in ROS anyway. Especially if she doesn't own up to them. OR... if she offers more.

Before becoming a mod here I have placed under activiites- Typical, nous avons bais, and the more commonly used abbreviations and all were approved for BCD credit.
"nous avons baisé" - french for - we have fucked on lacy french review.
If it is a good review with a minor issue we try to contact the reviewer to fix the issue and give them BCD credit.

By that logic, the whole thing is redundant...her costs are listed elsewhere, her pics are listed elsewhere, her contact info is elsewhere, etc. etc.
PUBLIC list of info is why the review form exists at all. And making people vist other sites (P411, her website or even other reviews than yours) is not cool. The point is to make the info all in one place.
ROS is ROS. Treat it as such, but why skimp on the whole thing? Just to piss off the newbs? To be elitist? C'mon man....

There are a variety of reasons I don't (or rarely) post reviews. Foremost among them is that I'm lazy. I have things to do or read or play or people I'd rather see or naps I'd rather take than writing a review. I sometimes enjoy writing for the sake of it, especially when I get on a roll, but erotic fiction is not one of my passions. So I really only wind up writing the rare review if I feel a situation calls for it, or I'm just in the mood to do so.
Secondly, I feel no obligation to write reviews, or more generally, pass along standard information. I'm pretty sure I don't know any of you guys, and don't give a shit about entertaining you with tales of my sexual exploits. I tend to see ladies with long track records of positive reviews, so it doesn't do much to benefit them or the guys if I add on positive review #197. That isn't to say I intentionally keep things to myself when it could benefit someone else (this board is a useful tool for me, and useful contributions help it stay so), but I don't care about keeping up a reputation, bragging, entertaining the random passer by, or helping you narrow down your choice by another 2%. Plus I don't generally feel I have anything significantly impactful, out of the ordinary, or worthwhile to pass on.
And finally, I see no benefit to me in posting a review for the sake of posting a review. I've had premium access before here and elsewhere, and I don't feel it's worthwhile for me. I don't hobby all that often; as previously stated I stick to well established ladies, and I do my research. I've found that as cautious as I am (sometimes overly so), the ROS details don't really help me avoid problems of have a particularly good time. The best ladies I've seen are ones I found without PA, and the worst time I've had was with one lady I chose while I had PA. I can make a well enough informed decision without it that it isn't worth the time or money to me.
If you're a risk taker, the extra info could definitely be make or break for you. If you have hobby friends you want to make sure have the latest and greatest, by all means, have at it. If you enjoy the braggadocio, knock yourself out. Share if it will save someone, or if the lady is new/seriously rehabbing her image and needs the boost, or you just want to. But for me, 99.9% of the time, myeh

i always got credit and i always put 'see ROS' on the activities line.
I do it because ROS can't be googled or saved on archive.org. no other reason.

C'mon, Duke! The Activities line acronyms are repeated in the ROS! Nothing else is listed twice or mentioned twice on Reviews. It's redundant!
"Making people visit other sites...?" That's all part of info in the review! You have to go to those sites, in a lot of cases to contact her.
I don't want to piss off the Newbs...they come on here, see what they like and some of them eventually contribute to this site in some way: reviews or paid access. I just have a beef with guys who've been here for a while, do neither, mine info, don't reciprocate and don't pay or review.
What would this site be if everyone did that?
Would the site be open for suggestions on how to improve reviews? They need something because, as you see, a hell of a lot of guys don't review.

I don't want to piss off the Newbs...... this is why you said this in an exchange with me, right?

Like has been told a few times, a mix is a good thing. Most guys eventually will put up reviews, some later than others, but who is to decide when that is going to start happening? I have been signed up less than a month and while I have posted a lot, (many of them being posts similar to this), in your logic, how long can I be on the site before I HAVE to write a review or pay for PA? It is also safe to say that no one does a review of EVERY provider EVERY TIME they see her. This question of why some guys do reviews and others do not is a good topic for discussion and it has been said in this thread, by more guys than me, why they do not review and once again, it is really none of your business, however, some have given those explanations, not that anything they say will satisfy you or the rest of the haters, or as Duke of G put so well, elitists, who know it all while anyone who is new to the board does not. How long does someone have to be on the site or how many reviews does a guy have to submit before they become relevant enough in the community to contribute?

Bingo! You've pretty much nailed my own viewpoint on this subject. I could care less about ROS or any Men's Lounge (it sounds gay anyway).
As a result of not playing along or bowing to their posting or review demands, the usual whiners will whine but in reality, it's all they have and just what they do (it seems to come naturally to them) so I don't mind and pretty much just let it go.
I post here because I like to and it's not the only site I play around with. The provider reviews are not a draw for me and never were. That's pretty much it.

In response to #55, I really don't think reviews have to be a lesson in creative writing. Sometimes I feel inspired to tell a story, but more often than not I just want to get the facts out there.
In olden times, when aspd was king, I would spend an hour crafting a review. Nowadays, I quickly type my thoughts, post, then make a few edits for clarity's sake. That approach doesn't take much more than 15 minutes of my time with a typical review. If it's a lady that has quite a few reviews, I may not spend more than a sentence or two describing bcd activities, focusing on those that were particularly memorable (good or bad). I'll spend most of my time commenting on various elements of the woman, incall, etc. that were notable to me, things that may not have been clear from reading other reviews.
I have a strong belief that as long as I'm an active member of this board, I have a duty to support it in some fashion. That can be paying to keep the site going, or providing intel that I think may be useful to others.
Note the use of the word "Intel", as opposed to "opinion". The latter is more a privilege I enjoy as a result of my informational contributions to the site. People put up with our opinions only to the extent we contribute money or useful intelligence.
