We can't protect people from every eventuality that may arise in this hobby, or in every day life. Leaving the phone numbers off of reviews isn't going to help you when you get hit by the bus crossing the street tomorrow. We're in a risky hobby. We're in a risky world. The board does just fine in such an environment.

Don't change the board, change yourself to minimize your risk, or get out all together.

The locale really doesn't need to be too specific in a review for me on whether I choose to see that lady. If I'm not feeling too lazy to get off my ass to trek on over I just get that info from her.

But what does "discreet" mean? I think we've been discreet with locations so far, and we've policed the ones who haven't been. What exactly do you want us to change? We can't give you an answer if we don't understand the question...

all of this is based on anonymity. not even known places need exact locations listed. heck if the person reading the review cannot google a known place of business,,. then that is his/her lost. otherwise....discretion is a must. Yoyos need to learn what a PM is.

KISS (keep it simple stupid ) rule seems to apply in this context. Cut through the knot and bs and just give a general location as proposed. A general area is needed to make a decision on estimated drive time. It also avoids the problem of wasting everyones time trying to set up a meeting when you are in north Houston and she is in Galveston.

Max in my opinion you've chosen a good measure to take. It's difficult from our end to control this, we can go back and edit it but as wakeup stated its hard to control what others do.

It will happen again there are some newbies that don't get it and Max you're newbie friendly so they will post the area you're working in.
Just continue to monitor your reviews and alert the mods to what should be posted but just remember the damage will be done once it'e posted even if the info is pulled from the review.
