Providers can run their biz however they want. If they require a deposit, it's up to the hobbyist to decide if they're willing to gamble that they will lose that deposit on a NCNS, or move on to a different provider that does not require a deposit. It's as simple as that.

But if you want her to travel a significant distance to you, or set aside an extended time period for you, etc., then her asking for a deposit is not unreasonable--nor out of line with Standard business practices in other areas.

Old-T is correct in his thought here. I have been in this realm for well over 30+ years, and I have never, nor will I ever, paid a deposit to a chick for her time or what’s between her legs. Outside of what Old-T wrote, which I quoted, if a girl is requiring a deposit, move on to the next girly because the one's requiring a deposit is not worth it. In my opinion, those that require a deposit for non-travel situations have something they are hiding and are not worth my time in pursuing.

Each guy has to decide how he will make his decision since at the end of it, it is the guy that leads, not the girl, and the guy has equal decision rank as the girl. Unfortunately, most chicks don’t get this, but the ones that do are the ones that do well in this realm.

I respect a womans interest in asking for a deposit and hope that they respect my reluctance to provide one.

In my few years of engaging in the hobby (and doing the SD/SB thing), I have given small deposits/showings of faith 3 times, and all 3 times have been taken advantage of by the woman. This is after doing what I feel is a pretty thorough vetting process on my side of things. So the odds are, I won't do it again.

I won't get into any names, but there are a couple of very well established providers that request deposits now, but only for new clients. I don't see anyone publicly questioning their practices, perhaps due to their notoriety. A lot of the porn stars who also work off camera request them. But I really don't think this is the majority because providers who are not well known cannot be held accountable for stealing; they can just disappear into the shadows and no one knows who they are or what they've done.



When I first met one of the providers I mentioned above, she asked me for a deposit. After communicating with her, she investigated what information was available about me, such as references, etc... I think what convinced her to drop the deposit was I proved I was serious about committing to the appointment. I asked her what payment method she wanted for the deposit, and how much of the total donation amount. I think that indicated to her that I was at least willing to make the deposit, even though I never actually did.


It's not uncommon to see some providers ask for a deposit after they have been stood up or robbed by guys, that doesn't mean I'm making one to a woman I know nothing about.
