I can think of only two teams that have a more stable ownership. Patriots and Seahawks. Maybe the Mara family is close. Pat Bolan was until he passed. The Rooneys arent what they used to be. The rest are not even close.
Maybe so but the bottom line is Jerry Jones can deliver only a 500 winning percentage and an occasional one and done playoff appearance so if there are any fan bases out there that would take that then your right about them. The 500 winning percentage in Dallas isn't a fluke or bad luck, it is the result of how Jerry the GM manages (or controls) a team.

The owner of the Broncos? You are correct, my bad. I thought he actually died, but he is no longer running the franchise due to his illness.

That isnt the bottom line and you are completely missing the point. He isnt going in nominated as a GM. He is going in nominated as a contributor. Your points might be valid in a different discussion but this isnt about his GM skills. Arguing his GM skills diminish his contributor skills actually makes their point even more so. He has done that much for the NFL and become that influential.

Correctamundo!!! I bet you'd love to have him as your owner. Are u guys moving to LA or Vegas or what? Hard to believe the town cannot support a successful team.

I would take him over the Spanos mafia any day.

I hope they move to Vegas, then sell the team because of the projected revenue of a new sole tenant stadium. Spanos family needs to just go away.

Can I trade you that THING Jerry built in Arlington for that old decaying stadium the Chargers play in? I would take the Charger's stadium any day of the week and twice on Sunday in place of what we have here so that I could enjoy an actual "football experience" if I went to a game.

Dude. Have you actually been to Jack Murphy in the last 10 years? I know Cowboys fans can be quite ridiculous in their myopic opinions of their team and players (see Romo haters, smh) but that statement just reeks of desperation and stupidity.

Jack Murphy is where I spent my days in right field cheering Tony and jeering Bonds. I watched countless Aztec games, Holiday Bowls and Raiders v Chargers encounters. I got to see LT set the still standing TD record in his MVP season. I have 35 years of nostaligia in that place AND I STILL THINK IT IS TRASH.

The Murph smells. The sightlines are shit. The luxury boxes are a joke. And had you been to an event there recently you would likely feel the same. Otherwise you would not make such a nonsense statement.

I think Metlife is nicer than Jerry World. But I had season tickets to the inaugural season (so I could have good seats to the chargers game) and all in all, the venue is one of the more comfortable venues in all of pro football.

I know what I said would make some people think I am an idiot. I'm not. I was also never a Cowboys basher until about 10 years ago when I realized Jerry Jones is a crazy man and is ruining the Cowboys and that him and what he is doing ain't going to change. Ever. I was born here. I was the biggest Cowboy's fan in the family.

Okay, don't trade me for JM stadium. LOL. I'll take about any other of the open air stadiums though. I have never been to Jack Murphy stadium. I have heard some media people saying what you you said but figured they were exaggerating. I still think I might like it unless the restrooms had a foul smell and I would probably be worried about the food and what the kitchen areas are like.

I certainly like the finer things in life but I also am a very down to earth person. To me there is nothing better in life (I don't have wife or kids) than sitting out in the middle of nowhere on a 10 million year old rock ledge in places like the Grand Canyon taking in the majestic scenery around me.

If I want nice I will go to museum, a good steak house, sit in my own home or drive to the Rocky Mountains or whatever but when I go to a game I want a game experience, IE. an open air stadium with fresh air and the sun or stars on my back. Watching a competitive team with a loud enthusiastic crowd. Tickets I can afford and not sitting there feeling guilty I paid this much. As long as the bathrooms are clean, the kitchens and food are clean and there isn't smelly garbage around I am good.

If I ever went to that thing Jerry built, that annoying 60 yard long jumbo screen IN MY FACE alone would make for a pretty unenjoyable time. Yuk!

I admit I haven't been to a ton of games like you have but I have seen games at Wrigley Field, the old Yankee Stadium, the Colorado CU stadium where the buffaloes play, many football games at UT Austin and a few TCU home games. I know what I like and that thing Jerry built is the extreme polar opposite of what I like.

Metlife does look way cool when they show an aerial view of it at night. They did it right (except for no grass). You know Jerry, when Dallas plays there and he is in his suite looking at the aerial view on his TV moniter he is thinking, this looks awesome, I know this is what I should have built because this is what the fans want. But no. To Jerry it's all about the money and his ego.

That's cool you have witnessed so many things at Jack Murphy stadium. You have been there so long I bet you have also seen some good concerts there back in the day.

Saw the Stones there, in pouring down rain. Best show I have ever seen. Mick. Keith and crew didn't care, they just played away. I was one of the few locals to be smart and wore my North Face ski gear, stayed dry the whole show.

Saw Pink Floyd on the Division Bell tour. Metallica and Guns n Roses when they toured together. But this was all in the 90s before it got really bad.

One other note, grass is going away for player safety and I agree. As someone who tore up their knees in high school and having to weigh a knee replacement at 42, running on the turf at Jerry World was amazing. We had a martial arts event there and during the throwing and bjj drills the landings were just like a top grade matt at the dojo.

And The Murph is only a step above Oakland Co C because it doesn't flood as often. Shit hole.

Smart man. I get a feel for the type you are. You were ahead of the game and wore your North Face gear and stayed perfectly dry at the Stones concert. You just stood there and enjoyed it while they played on.

I went to a Rolling Stones concert at football stadium in Oregon when I was 13 years old a very long time ago. I was to young to realize I was at an epic event but I do remember several things about it.

I really do not understand at all. In a city as affluent as San Diego, how can they not have approved a new stadium since it seems the 60s or 70s?

Because California law requires a two-thirds vote in order to pay for such items.

No 50.1%

San Diego is not as affluent as one may thinck. There are a lot of ex military in San Diego, they generally are not affluent. Also, I say good for San Diego to say no. If more cities say no to the owners the better off everyone will be.

Now it has come to pass? The Los Angeles Chargers? Sup with that? I am not sure they can support one team, much less two? Where are they going to play? Will they share a stadium with the Rams?

Yup. They will be a tenant in a stadium they dont own. Not sure they have any ownership rights unless Spanos is making a backdoor deal to help pay for construction.

If I wasnt throwing up in my mouth I would say the logo was cool. Curious if they will go with a new uniform as well.

Coliseum for a couple years until stadium is ready I guess.
