Yes it does in the same way that America was not the first or the last to have slavery.
I never thought about that. You've got a point in Latin America for sure. It's even true among Chinese in Malaysia and Thais who discriminate against Indians because their skin is darker. And the Indians in those countries are often more educated and prosperous than others.

You might think so given the predominance of public health care, and the level of social services compared to most other countries in Latin America. However, the maximum personal income tax rate is 25%. Compare to 43.4% to 69% we'd have under Biden's tax plan, depending on the state you live in and how much investment vs. salary income you have. Costa Rica doesn't tax income realized outside their country. As to their medical system, life expectancy in Costa Rica is 77.5 years compared to 76.3 years in the USA. And health care spending in Costa Rica is 7.3% of GDP, compared to 17.7% for the USA.

Not to mention the ready supply of hot and cold running poontang...

Yes they seem to be able to better invest in their citizens health because they have little to no military.

Been a long time since I've been to the Beatle Club but women wA one thing they we not on short supply of!

I don't think that's entirely it. As a % of GDP, we're spending 2.4X what they are. If you look at it in terms of outright dollars, they spend $877/person/year, and we spend $11,100. And they live longer than we do! Insane. And this is something you can't pin specifically on the Democrats or the Republicans. Both are failing to address this issue.

Admittedly you can chalk some of this up to our diet, weight, exercise, and average age. But still.

However, yes, their tax take can be less without the military. We spend about 3.5% of GDP on the military. I can't even find a number for Costa Rica.

Tiny - the longevity statistics are not that very diffeent between costa rica and US - the difference is negligible - .

Agreed they do spend a great deal less on medical care.

Perhaps it is the insidious infiltration of the DPST's element in America- that spreads riots, looting, discontent, and the diseases of 'Stress" - high blood pressure, heart disease stoke, cardiovascular disease, caused by the incessant pounding of the marxist DPST message.

Get rid of the DPST's - we have a peaceful country - and much less need for care of diseases that are 'Stress - caused'!

Half of my team is in India. They are weird with how they discriminate. It's more about wealth with them though... they are quite the jealous cunts with each other. They're just so competitive with each other that I have to tell them to calm the fuck down every now and then. Their passive aggressive shit drives me crazy and I'm just like why don't you fuckers go throw hands and STFU on this Zoom call.

do they ever tell you anything about dalits? Upper caste Indians discriminates against dalits. they're like below the lowest caste. I guess you can call them a non-person.

You don't even understand what Dilbert or I are even discussing, clown. But please be sure to pound away on the RTM button about my experience working closely with people who live in Bangalore and Chennai. LOL

Dilbert, my firm is very strict about how we handle our offshore and nearshore teams. I'd have to cut them off immediately if they discussed their culture. If I would say one wrong thing to them, I would be hearing from HR within 24 hours. I know they would tattle so I just keep it all business.
