Let me see if a pegged you right.
You are a mid 40 to early 50's guy who believes the world owes him something for nothing. You believe everyone is lying because you spend most of you life behind a computer screen Judging people who you don't know, and because of you over inflated ego you never will.

Yes I have been called that but I think it was a P Alpha male. From your style of writing, I would guess you are late twenties or early 30's.
Cj is a nice gal, I think being in the service makes one ready for combat all the time. This isnt going any where, its better to just bury the hatchet and move on.

Some try and be like this but it comes across as scripted and that
just feels kind of fake. It has to have a quality of real about it.
And you have to remember that every guy is an individual so
a one size fits all attitude doesn't work very well, everyone
likes to be treated as a unique individual.
I would say this applies to guys that act like gentlemen and show
respect to a girl. If the guy proves to be a jerk then I say send him
on his way without an invitation to return.
Mutual respect is what works, or at least that is the starting point
just a simple code of etiquette, and just plain old fashioned manners.
Clients and providers shouldn't just look at each other as objects to be used.
Neither party will end up happy if that is their attitude.

OK, TO BE CIVIL
the reason for this post was actually stated in the OP...
i realized it has strayed away very fast and i'd like to go back to where it started.
Lucas i'd enjoy going at it with you, since you work out, i think i'd be fun to knock you down a few pegs ...
but my entire point of this thread, was to understand the mentality of hobbyists (both male and female) and to see if my pride is something i should ease up on.
i respond to everyone who addresses me when i have time, and i have time before i have training today, so i did. I've never been known to bite my tongue, when it comes to my opinion. If you cut off a wolfs head it still has the power to bite, and i will usually with out a second thought.

This is a first but its a nice turn of events well getting back to your thread, I like a provider that gives me what I am missing at home without the nagging or drama.
The main aim is that, everyone is looking for an escape and this lifestyle affords them one.

It frustrates me when people feel they must ease up on their pride (and manners) in order to state their opinions. In the overwhelming majority of cases, a compelling point can be made without insults or rudeness. It's called being diplomatic.
Additionally, like it or not, poor punctuation and grammar distract readers and make them disregard your opinions, no matter how cogent.
WulfP, you state you like to engage in arguments and debate. Might I suggest you work on honing your craft since it seems to be a passion of yours? An excellent starting place would be a book by Anthony Weston, A Rulebook for Arguments. It's a great primer for both writing and debate.
Good luck!
(Weston, Anthony. A Rulebook for Arguments. Indianapolis: Hackett Pub, 2009.) Print.

I've heard of it, but never actually looked into to.
To be honest, I would spend more time being grammatically correct if their opinion actually mattered to me. I know how to write. I know how to spell. But fact of the matter is, it holds no weight when the discussion isn't serious. I have been diplomatic with these people in the past. I have made my best effort, and the only thing it's gotten me is more people who think they can use me as a doormat. So at this point I don't really care anymore. I'll check out the book anyway as it seems like a good read, but it's wasted on the majority of the people from this site that I've had contact with.

I guarantee some people will read this post and think differently about you instantly. Grammar and punctuation always hold weight, regardless of the situation! People will judge you to be unintelligent no matter how convincing an argument you make!
In one post, you did prove that you ARE a good writer...well done.

I think she has explained herself, no one is expecting people to be perfect on such a site nor to be a gramma nazi. Why dont you drop it and just go back to the original meaning of her thread instead of telling her about her spelling and gramma again and again after she has explained herself.

You do realize my last post was a compliment, no?
Actually, the first was also and I think she took my suggestion in the way it was intended. If I didn't think she was interested in and capable of high levels of debate, why suggest a book on such?
Plus, my point is on topic. It's an example that some men here like feisty and don't care if the lady is "polished" and some will judge. The only mistakè is not recognizing that.
WulfP, in short, most men I know in the hobby are looking for what's missing at home. Both physically and emotionally.
