Yeah, instead we're tyranny by minority. Because that's so much more fair.

This thread is about who the American voters trust, so the antiquated electoral college has absolutely nothing to do with this thread. The popular vote however, is by far the biggest and most accurate poll we have concerning who the American voters on a whole trust and don't trust. All of the other polls are insignificant in comparison.
I'm probably wasting my time trying to get people to understand a basic concept like sample size, but let me break it down for you a little more. The presidential elections that happen every four years get the biggest turnout of American voters, and therefor are the ultimate determination we have as to who the American voters trust. In the past 30, yes, 30 years, the republican presidential candidate has only won the popular vote once. That's right once. These are the indisputable facts. You can try to argue against them, but you would just be wrong.

you are wasting your time if you expect anyone to believe you don't believe polls that you agree with and yet deride polls that you don't agree with.
it's not surprising you call the electoral college "antiqued" because it's purpose is to keep liberals out of the white house.
the popular vote isn't the game. and dems only yell about it when they lose. otherwise they think it's great!
sample sets. great topic. and if i found 1,000 color blind people who think the sky is green and then say 100 percent of people think the sky is green? is that poll accurate? it is for people who are color blind.

I've said it before;
"trusting polls is like trusting single ply toilet paper, you might get lucky a few times, but you will eventually end up sticking your finger in your own ass."
And I often will use 538 to get a glimpse of who's predicting what.
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/
I like that they show a variety of outcomes and then even show the leaning bias of each group. IE: Rasmussen vs MSNBC for example, and the thing everyone should consider is how accurate they were in past predictions. Most come up like a 3 inch boner....way short.

Polls are meaningless. All that matters is the number of foot soldiers a candidate can hire to go collect ballots. The “representative” part of our representative republic is dead and buried until we get back to actual elections, which is likely to be never.

Thanks to the fine folks who brought you gerrymandering and carpetbagging. There is way too much rigging and corruption at state levels also! Hell, several state supreme courts have had to re-draw maps and tell both political parties that they are trying to "misrepresent" their districts. I hate to say it, but the trust we give our states are sometimes just too damn much. It seems like ppl with integrity are not in politics like they used to be, and now it's the likes of MTG, Gaetz, M. Waters and others who are not only shitty representatives, but are gaming their states to stay in office.
I mean, c'mon Georgia, don't you have someone who isn't an angry Karen synchophant of DJT???
The current shit show in NJ with Menendez and who could ever forget the likes of Rod Blagojevich as Illinois governor?? Tried to sell a senate seat to the highest bidder!
But Republicans liked him cause he voted for Reagan twice. LOL Ahh good old Dutch- he musta visited 'sweet home Chicago' a few times to get that kinda support.

... So I'm CORRECT there, yes?
... Hmmm ... So much for the Repubs being the minority.
Surely glad that we've got THAT issue settled.

Thanks for the laugh. None of that has anything to do with the topic of this thread, which is who the American voters trust more. The popular vote of the presidential elections is by far the most accurate gauge of who the that would be. It's simple math.

This guy thinks elections reflect the will of the people. Maybe that was true a decade ago.

I'm speaking about reality. I'm not speaking about the fantasy land where the democrats stole the 2020 presidential election, even though over 100 court cases have tried to prove it and failed, and Faux News has paid a $787 million dollar settlement for lying about it.
I will say one thing though. Even in that fantasy land, the republicans have only won 1 presidential popular vote in those 20 years previous to the last decade. Even in far right delusional fantasy land, the majority of American voters trust democrats more than republicans.
