These ASPD treads come up every now and then. I always enjoy the reflection. I was green and pretty shy during the socials, so I missed them. I’m still very UTR, but I bounce thru here everyone once in awhile. Hope everyone’s doing well. It’s definitely a different world out there.

LaFemme, Executive XTC and Peaceful1's shop of co-eds. Afternoon socials at the Ship. Dear John is correct--ASPD came from the old (really old, like pre-WWW) text-based newsgroup that had a strong set of writers (mostly in San Francisco) who penned elaborate stories for AFTSD (a fail to suck day). The ASPD web site was a brilliant innovation and supported a great community. Best regards to all the old timers!

Still around. Hung out with Player, WTF, TxPunter, last week. Last month I was in Rio de Janeiro with Player, Dark Side and FiestaBoy. In September will be in Bangkok with Player.

The parties were the best. Every Friday night at a Mexican restaurant with a patio a big meeting of spa owners, escorts, hobby guys. The restaurant was closed for private parties many times. Hosted a number of poker tournaments that were a lot of fun. Still keep in touch with some real old timers, RarelySober, Cossa, EasternPlayer.

I'm still around - just never posted on this board. I joined ASPD in July 2001 and posted until late 2004. A beautiful lady friend of mine passed in 2004, so I stopped posting altogether until April 2020 (but on OH2). I saw maybe 2 or 3 ladies a year until becoming active again in '17. I attended probably 7 or 8 socials from 2002-2003, but had to go way underground for professional reasons.

I miss the camaraderie. The community was, for the most part, one. It was more commonplace for hobbyists and providers to look out for each other rather than retreat to their respective corners. About a year ago or so, bbkid wrote a superb post on OH2 that accurately portrayed the community. I loved Executive XTC, LaFemme, Escape 1/2/3/4/5/6/Loft, Amazing Escorts, Suite 8, Wildflowers, Valhalla, Westside (if I was hard up).

Lazlong, great to see your handle again. I always thought you and "Cilla" might've gone off and gotten yourselves married.

Other notables that I remember:

BigLouie's dinners

Whispers campaigning for the Balls of Steel award.

Hoss flirting with about every female who posted in the CoEd forum. Even rapping on occasion: "I got balls like titanium, the strength of uranium, goin' down on yo' cranium, insane in the branium..."

The occasional flame war. I'll leave it at that.

DEAR_JOHN's takedowns of idiotic newbies just looking to get hit over the head by a 2X4.

Amber's insightful postings. I've never known a female who understood the male psyche better than Amber.
