True. But what is a good solution to addressing both groups, not only one of them? It is difficult if we do not allow judgment--and we are loath to do that. One side errs on the side of letting 1,000 people suffer to keep one person from cheating the system. The other side errs on the side of letting 1,000 cheat the system to keep one from suffering. And most the politicians in the middle have fled the debate (and congress) because they are fed up with wackos on both extremes.

Actually, the politicians don't want to make the hard choice, because they want to remain on the government tit, and they would rather borrow the money to shore up those who don't want to work and kick the can down the road.....

That is what has happened with ObaminableCare. Do you actually believe that passing a bill in 2010 that would not kick in until 2014 was for any thing other than election politics?

The most brilliant law professor, law review editor, and community organizer just has his dream shatter into a nightmare, and now he'll have to start rewriting his "other" book as history starts writing him off a bit earlier than he expected.. Enjoy it.

Actually, what is fantastic is ..........

....................there are around 300 million people in this country "with options."

This year many of them get to exercise their "options" and again in 2016.

it.
Why is it that on one hand to praise the CBO as handing Obama his ass and the next post you are questioning the CBO ''opinion'' ?

The fact is you and others are using the God Damn CBO numbers as fact 2.5 million job loss! I merely pointed out what else the CBO report said.

None of it is fact. But me pointing out what was Cherry Picked out of the report was indeed fact.

So if you want to say "The CBO stated such and such..." and I counter with "The CBO also stated this..."

It is a fact that I am restating projections of the CBO , just as you are. You can't have it both ways. That is the God Damn fact. You're smarter than that, I should not have to point out subtle but obvious differences.

Did you tell the thread starter that ''That's not a "fact" ..... that is an opinion. One of these days you'll figure out the difference.''

You can't pick and choose what opinion are indeed facts.

But those options don't replace the lost productivity of 2.5 MM FTEs of work or the associated taxes.

Like welfare.

The BLS doesn't count parttime employment in the employment numbers. So where does the CBO get it's opinion .................... like there is not a "smidgen of evidence of corruption" in the IRS .............. really? Another opinion from the law professor.

Where in the report does it say that 2.3 million jobs will be lost? Chapter and verse please.

Sounds like a hackneyed old talking point.

Why is this not surprising here in the loony bin?

They're equating everyone working a little less into a number of jobs. The logic is not sound.

Excuse me, but does anyone else think that the idea of having a job is being "trapped" and that reduced hours or unemployment are "expanded options" is utterly bizarre? I have trouble believing people are treating that bullshit as serious. It's a chapter out of 1984.

You're teetering on the edge again. Whiny.

NOTE: For a change, OP couldn't get his story straight. His post claims 2.3 million jobs will be lost. his headline claims 2.5 million.

typical bullshit.

How can we believe anything this fucking idiot posts?

I have never believed Hanoi COG! To take it a tad bit further, I never will. He has even previously admitted to the following on these pages, "I lied." That is an actual quote from one of COG's posts. Why should we believe him?

He is the least credible in a plethora of Far Right Wing WACKO, ECCIE posters who seem to have only one thing in common. Collectively, they are each consumed by a severe credibility deficit.

Hanoi COG slightly more so than the rest of the Far Right WACKO "Dipshits."

We can't lose sight of the fact that Hanoi COG is, and probably always will be, the only "Dipshit" stupid enough to nominate himself to be a leading contender to receive the "Dipshit of the Year" award. Who else but a bonafide "Dipshit" would nominate himself for such of an award? COG probably would have won, had it not been for a number of excellent Far Right Wing "Dipshit" candidates that resulted in splitting the votes of those voting for the well-deserved WACKO "Dipshit" candidates.

I can certainly understand the sentiment of feeling trapped. The costs of health care, and subsequently, insurance, are so outrageous it can be quite harrowing to think of taking a lower paying job or going out on your own in search of more fulfilling work. Granted, one should appreciate having work, but if one has an unfulfilling job and children and/or a health condition, options are indeed limited.

I don't agree that this frees the up to become small business owners, because corporate America will just beat and tax the living shit out of them in others ways. But the insurance is a form of control.
