Feel like I'm back in Basic...eight count pushups and mountain climbers...throw in a flutter kick and a prone row and I'll start having flashbacks...

Well it was refreshing to see I'm not as out of shape as I thought I was.
Hopped on the incline leg press just for shits and grins and threw 540lbs.on there.
I put that bitch up three times. Total weight lifted: 1620.

By cutting out soda and tea, reducing carbs and increasing veggies and working out more regularly, I dropped 5 pounds. I believe most of the weight loss is from changing diet because I'm still easing into working out hard.

I was talking about good ole sweet tea, the kind with equal or greater sugar than sodas. Not a big fan of the other kinds. Now my only sugar not from fruit etc is a tsp in my morning coffee

That one teaspoon is 4 grams of sugar. You'd be surprised how fast 26 grams of sugar for an allowance disappears during a normal day eating non-sweet foods...

In laymen's terms your body prefers fat for fuel rather than sugar. But will burn sugar first if it's present.

But I'd say cutting out the 2 cokes plus tea I was drinking is a big step in the right direction.

Yes but take a look at the labels on the products you purchase the next time your shopping.
There's sugar practically in everything. You don't need to add it to anything. Little compromises add up bro.

Doesn't matter where the sugar comes from.
Fruit is a major source of sugar in our diet. The normal foods you eat in a day have more than a sodas worth of sugar in them, so by drinking that soda, you're doubling your daily allowance. Fruit juice is a major problem for any diet. If you don't want to lose weight, still don't drink soda, it allows you to eat many more other things without going over the daily limit. The second you drink one, you're over.
Ever look at how much sugar is in a piece of wheat bread, or yogurt, or an apple, or any other supposedly healthy foods? Most yogurts are almost as bad as a single soda. It adds up quick.
