saw this thread and thought I would throw in my two cents. you can erase my handle from the banned list (hopefully for at least a little while lol.) Course when you get banned, everyone wants to know why you got timeout-ed. Well some dufus named Wolf Whistle was trolling me big time while I was trying to write a UTR doubles session review, implying my UTR review was fabricated. I'm like you're the loser who can't get laid in an Asian massage parlor with a pocketful of Harriet Tubmans, who the hell are you to question my bona fides? Further, I opined, I post session pics from every yes review i've ever written, so wtf is your problem Mr. WW? Finally, I had had enough, so i wrote a story (clearly farcical in tone and substance!) alleging **** Then I bumped a thread, and that was all she wrote. So if you are even considering any mention of bestiality, even if it's tongue-in-cheek, do not cross that Rubicon! Or you shan't be back, at least for a while. lol.
As to the whiskey, I can't drink any of that stuff. It's too sweet for me. I could probably use it as a ghost chili chaser though. If anyone knows which one is best for that, please advise.
Carry on!

You think Scotch is sweet?
I like Bourbon, but am now basically a Scotch man. I toured the Buffalo Trace Distillery a few years ago and had some Pappy Van Winkle, the gold standard of Bourbon. Buffalo Trace is a fine Bourbon, my go to Bourbon when I was a Bourbon drinker.
Interesting facts:
1. Bourbon must be at least 51% corn in order to be called Bourbon. That's why Jack Daniels is a Whiskey, not Bourbon. It is less than 51% corn.
2. Bourbon was invented by the Scottish. They immigrated to America and found the climate was too warm to grow Barley. So, they tried corn and the rest is history. Gotta love the Scots.

I like my daily "table" Jameson, but for serious imbibing, I switch to the 18-year-old. It's liquid gold sliding over my tongue and down my throat. Tullamore Dew Phoenix and Knappogue Castle 12 are also very good sipping elixirs.
Do not drink and type, please, or you, too, may end up in the "ban tank."

My after work favorite is Guinness and a side of Don Julio.
Does it make sense? No, but like Art, Music and ladies i like what i like.
Cheers

Sorry, dude. Jack Daniel's mash recipe is 80% corn (and 8% rye, 12% malted barley). What keeps it from being bourbon is that it is not aged the mandatory minimum of 2 years.

A clarification to the above: To be considered a "straight" bourbon, 2 years of aging is the minimum federal requirement. This means no added coloring, flavoring, or other spirits. And if it is aged under 4 years, the age must be stated on the label - and must reflect the age of the youngest barrel in the batch.

You are totally wrong dude. This came directly from the expert at Buffalo Trace Distillery.I think he knows a lot more about Bourbon and corn whiskey than you do.

i don't care what recipe or aging duration JD uses.
it tastes so bad people kill the taste with coca cola.
note this one time where Pointelero agrees with me.
