Tomlin was forced to fire Canada. Players were starting to revolt. Normally I hate that stuff, but in this case it was probably the only way to force Tomlins hand.

1972, I met Chuck Knoll on the field at St. Vincents after practice, still have slides with pictures from that day.

Went with my Uncle to a Father/Son Sunoco event, he didn't have any kids yet, so I got to go.

Sat and listened to the Immaculate reception on the radio that year, was at my Grandmothers, and had to wait days to see what happened, because it was blacked out at home.

I loved the Steelers for Decades, likely before you were born.

Its a fucking travesty to see what the Kneelers, and the NFL in general has become, its like the Green Energy movement, an agenda pushed towards wokeness, and, the destruction of heroes, all in the name of some form of social justice.

The entire opposite of what Players like Jack Lambert brought to the field.

A failed sport, in a failing nation, that's what I dislike about the Steelers, what should be an escape, has become a reflection of real life.

Honest to god, I'm surprised Tomlin hasn't started to wear "Save Gaza" on a tossle cap during the game, but, that's an agenda his handlers support, so, its unlikely.

And, after finding a good Russian streaming sight, I get to watch every game and not contribute one cent, not a statistic as to numbers of viewers, nothing, I eat the Steelers games for free, and I root for them to lose, because that's the only way it MAY get better.

I sincerely doubt it, until Tomlin is gone, and every legacy of thanking a President for winning the Superbowl is gone, and the cancer that the owners have is gone.

And then, MAYBE.

But don't you dare criticize my feelings and memories I have for this once great team.

ONCE GREAT TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Once again, still the only person bringing politics into the Steelers thread. And incorrectly doing so, too. Boring.

Time for KP to start holding a clipboard on Sundays too. Finish the year out with Trubisky then draft a real QB next season.

Interesting. I don’t doubt that. It’s been reported Rooney wanted Canada hired as QB coach when he was first hired. That was dug up from an article when it happened. Rooney thought it would be good for Kenny.
This organization is going sideways. They need to stop the stupid shit, hire based on qualifications, not who they are familiar with.
Hire one of these young offensive gurus from outside the organization and get out of the dark ages.

I remember Knoll saying he hired coach’s that was good enough to replace him.
Tomlin has no one on his staff that would be an automatic replacement of him on his staff.

Knoll’s coordinators called the plays on both sides of the ball. Knoll was confident enough in himself he hired the best.

The Steelers haven’t won a playoff game in like 6 years. This is somehow Canada’s or Now Picketts responsibility?

Look at how many QB’s the Browns have gone through. Is that the fault of the players or coaches.

False, Canada was here before Kenny.

This is the opposite of the truth. One reporter, Dulac falsely and prematurely reported that, and other outlets ran with it, but then eventually posted the truth, that Tomlin made the call.

I'm happy to see Canada gone. I hope Sullivan can be better. He can't be any worse. I'm hoping to see less predictability, more plays out of a formation, so that the formation doesn't tip off what's coming, more motion, more play action, more passes in the middle of the field, and more carries for Warren.

More passes over 4 yards downfield would be nice too. This dink and dunk shit rarely works even for good QBs. It's a nightmare with Kenny in there.

Be interesting to see if they start Warren. It’s also interesting how well Josh Dobbs has been playing for other teams.
