Screening is not going to take all of the risk away. But, that's not to say its useless. The reason for it is to cut down on the risk in a profession that is inherently risky. Condoms won't completely ensure that you won't get an STD, but they help to mitigate that risk. That's why we used them. To me, screening is about risk management. I certainly don't live in a "screening bubble" and believe that it makes me completely immune to difficult situations. However, if I don't take some steps to ensure that I remain safe and out of jail, then the probability that I will end up in a bad situation increases, especially when it comes to getting a police record. It's fairly easy to screen out LE, not so easy is figuring out who is a decent person and who isn't. That's much harder to factor. I don't consider myself to be a screening Nazi. I try and make things as easy possible while doing by best to ensure that the gentlemen in question is A) not a police officer and B) has been able to maintain healthy boundaries and relationships with other women he has seen. Not much else can be done, really.
I can honestly say that, so far, when I have screened I haven't had a problem. The couple of times I did have a problem, I didn't check those references. The first was a guy who gave references and then wanted to book, now, now, now. I did it, mistake. There was a reason he wanted to do that, he was a scammer and his references were fake. Hence, the push to book. The other situation was similar.
I think some of you guys who are fair and upfront about things, think that all guys are. They aren't. And there is not much we can do about it after the fact.

I really don't expect answers.......
I think screening is an illusion that gives ladies the needed sense of security to move through their days...... nothing more........ nothing less......
oh... it's also a source of revenue for those companies that found a way to capitalize on it....

All good points. Some of us hobbyists may add:
- Getting mugged upon arrival
- Meeting members of her immediate family
- Being introduced to the all-too-affectionate pit bull in the bedroom
- Feeling like I'm visiting a Haz Mat site

I think Screening does eliminate some issues. We can pretty much get a feel for a person by the answers, how they respond, or even if they respond. Some ask me questions too. Safety is always first!!!

Rumor has it that a "Stop and Frisk" policy will be in effect for all ladies attending M&Gs.
We all have our boundaries and criteria. Even with all that, how many times has anyone gotten that last minute gut feeling and fled the scene?
Like anything else in life there's a risk/reward.

Then, again, I say rethink the companions you meet. You expect stuff like that with street-level desperate ho's with no future and a pimp. But you guys with this frame of mind know what you're doing. I'll leave you to it.
But Chelsea said it best. It's easy to avoid LE. I haven't had one close call in 8 years. The Alerts section where girls say 'don't go to this hotel because I was too desperate for the money to screen' sounds like a joke to me. My biggest concern has always been to meet gentlemen. How I can reduce my risk of meeting a complete idiot who doesn't value my life or his. And I am a very happy woman today because of my process.
But like I always say, for every one that won't there's two that will.

This is something of an aside to this whole thread, but just thought it was funny about our agreement about screening out LE. If you will allow me, a little anecdote. So, about a year ago, in another city, got a call while I was at work (real work, whatever that means) no less. Fucking guy calls, doesn't know my name, nor my hooker moniker and wants to meet. Upon further questioning, doesn't remember where we met or what I look like but most definitely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, wants to meet right now!!! So funny, I was so offended. I was at my real job being god's little, perfect citizen as I do sometimes, and I just felt the sort of offense that a woman who is completely appalled at all of this would feel . I'm just laughing at my ability to completely compartmentalize. At any rate, this cop has called me four times over the past year, each time the same thing. I was freaked out the first time. I don't know how he got my number. I guess they confiscated some hobbyist's phone number and then wrote them down and just call them intermittently. But, each time, he doesn't remember that he called me. I do. It's gotten to where I kind of egg him on sometimes because I know I will not be meeting him....anywhere. Too funny, they must think we are all three shades of stupid. But, on another note, that is an example of light, very light, you'd have to be a complete moron not to metabolize immediately what's happening, form of screening, but a form of screening all the same. I could have just rushed right out there regardless of all the many, many reasons not to.

I understand the reasons. I don't question the right of any women to decide for herself precisely how much is enough without taking any grief for it (calling up and engaging in too much "persuading" can translate to grief).
Given that though, I have to say that I am surprised that men, married men, men in professions where "hobbying" can cost them their jobs are willing to risk compromising their anonymity by sharing their real names and other identifying information with anyone, anywhere, ever. This includes sharing it with P411 or similar as I don't find their argument for why that's a safe thing to do to be the least bit convincing.
Just my 2 cents, but I suspect I'm in the vast majority. My point is, don't underestimate the significance of the fact that "Complete Anonymity" is definitely a selling feature, probably for most guys. Anyone who can figure out how to get comfortable and mitigate their risk while offering that (I think the "for fee 30 minute meet and greet" concept has potential) will benefit.

Screening is part of the game, it's a 'necessary evil'. I am usually a little concerned if there is no screening preformed when setting an appointment. I am left with the questions: is she operating safely? Does this put me at addional risk?
On the other hand, my experience has been when the screening is extremely severe, the service and experience is very stale or even bad. I know that's not true of all or maybe even most. But in my experiences, severe screening is a trigger that we might not be a match. It's as if all of the energy and passion went into the act of screening, instead of the ACT
Again, it's part of it, but...

Anonymity = dead, robbed, and arrested prostitutes for women. Ladies run larger risks with the 30 minute meet and greets. It's potentially a waste of time for someone who doesn't want to screen, and plus she risks outing herself.
It seems that very few of the vocal majority thinks of things from a woman's perspective.

I don't know what you consider severe, but screening should be very comfortable and natural. Screening for LE is easy. But when a lady's screening mimics a DPS application, it's usually because she'd been arrested or come close to it. It's a scary thing, not being sure. Nervousness does tend to take the passion out of the encounter.
Being afraid just isn't sexy.

1) Ever had a gun aimed at your head? No but I've had a hoggars teeth wrapped around my cock...whats your point?
2) Ever been raped? Yes, and she was convicted of assault with a friendly weapon.
3) Ever been held hostage? I've been powerless to leave her bed, is that the same?
4) Ever been outed? Not sure I've been gang banged, deep throated, tied up, face fucked...where does this fit in?
5) Ever have a crazy ex? You are all crazy...its just a matter of intensity vs time in relation.
6) Ever had a stalker? Is this a celery drink?
7) Ever had family or an important real world job? Trick question...if you are born, you have family...and my stint as a superhero didn't pay very well, so had to go back to corporate America.
8) Ever had your kids taken away? That's what condoms are for.
9) Ever known of a friend getting murdered? Only mentally & financially.
10) Ever just say, " Damn, she is a mega bitch on the board. I bet she is worse in person?" Hmmm, actually yes...& it proved to be true
11) Ever been in session with someone who was a druggie or drunk? I think its probably more rare to find one who isn't
12) Ever say to yourself, " All money is NOT good money?" Nope, my money is ALWAYS good money...steal it and find out how serious I am about that.
13) Ever thought that maybe we care about chemistry/compatibility as much or more than money?
Between the 5th of the month and the 28th, sure....29th-4th, not at all
14) Ever thought maybe she has a brain and is capable of seeing misogyny? Yeah, probably not, lol! Quite a few smart hoogars out there...some radically dim ones too.
15) Ever thought maybe she values her time and wants to spend it with someone who is going to treat her with the same respect she would show you?
"See rules of he month" above...also known as "The Running of Da Ho's"

Well said lovely woman. I'm a screening like crazy, real name, address, work, social media page, real telephone, you name it. It's saved my butt today, got contacted by, after screening, he came up on multiple blacklist sites as very violent.

Nope. Had one pressed into the small of my back once when my business was robbed.
2) Ever been raped? A few times by Car Dealerships when I was young and naive.
3) Ever been held hostage? First Wife managed to do that to me for a few years.
4) Ever been outed? Yup. By the wannabe BF of a hooker that read every PM, Email and text she received.
5) Ever have a crazy ex? Nope. But I was in a relationship with a hooker in Houston for a few months that definitely qualified.
6) Ever had a stalker? Houston Hooker and at times I worry about the current SB
7) Ever had family or an important real world job? Uh. I think we all do.
8) Ever had your kids taken away? Nope. I was pretty careful in those days not to compromise their safety or well being. Submitting to screening would have been a risk.
9) Ever known of a friend getting murdered? A friend? or an acquaintance? Someone that you knew in passing? Or someone that you had over and they had you over and your lives intertwined? I've heard this a lot and when it is really looked into it is seldom what most would consider a friend. I think if it was so it would drive one from the business. I had a teenager that lived with me in Foster Care and called me PaPa that was shot and killed in driveby by a rival gang in LA.
10) Ever just say, " Damn, she is a mega bitch on the board. I bet she is worse in person?" LOL! I seldom judge anyone by their attitudes here on the boards with the exception of the ignorant and simply dumb ones. The last one plopped down on my lap one evening at Palazios and "mega" described her appearance which did not match up with her showcase!
11) Ever been in session with someone who was a druggie or drunk? A very large percentage of the girls that are in this either currently meet that description, HAVE met that description or WILL meet that description in the coming years.
12) Ever say to yourself, " All money is NOT good money?" Nope. I've been known to say that money can't buy happiness but it sure rents it for a time.... Also that I've been well off and I've been poor..... I much prefer being well off....
13) Ever thought that maybe we care about chemistry/compatibility as much or more than money? Not remotely. That is a something that many a guy wants to believe and many a lady will say..... But I've never believed for a moment that any of you are hear for anything other than the money and if and when the money can be had in another way you are out of here.
14) Ever thought maybe she has a brain and is capable of seeing misogyny? Yeah, probably not, lol! Women see misogynistic men that have money and many a man hating lesbian is perfectly fine in taking a man's money while providing the illusion... I've come to believe over the years that it is rather common for many ladies here to label a man as a misogynist simply because he disagrees with her.
15) Ever thought maybe she values her time and wants to spend it with someone who is going to treat her with the same respect she would show you? Nope.... I guess I really don't give it much thought as to all the possible reasons that women screen....
I am not saying these things have happened to me. These are just a few good reasons why some of us screen harder than others. Ijs

A question.....
What "screening methods/questions" do you employ to determine if there is risk from items
4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14 and 15
Sure.. I understand when it's someone that is a part of the community or with a posting presence where you may get a feel for those things.....
But considering that the VAST MAJORITY of tricks are turned by ladies that never participate and guys that never post......
Just how do you determine your compatibility on those factors?
Identifying someone might give you insight into a few of the items on your list....
Truthfully.... with a list of concerns like that why be a part of ll this?
Turn it around.....
You book an out call and pull into a Hotel Parking lot while you have been exchanging texts with a guy that is supposedly in his room. Instead he is outside IN the parking lot watching for a car to pull up and the lady he is expecting to get out.
He see's the car and types the license plate in to an open browser to a public database and runs a pre-written script that farms the information available.
A minute later he has the name of the owner, current address and names of everyone else at that address.... their driver's licenses, dates of birth and then the names and dates of birth are passed to another scrip that pulls their criminal backgrounds (or lack of) and goes a step farther and farms the social media sites like a spider and he's reading your face book page and looking at the pics of your family and friends.... while you are walking towards the hotel.... He asks for you to give him a minute and by the time you get to the door he knows far more about you than you thought was possible?
I mention how easy that is for a guy to do and ask for a woman's thoughts on it...... KNOWING that there are ladies that dig that deep into who the guys they see are. What would you say knowing a guy is doing the same?
Heck.. There is a lady in this thread stating she goes as far as social media sites....
Session goes well and neither person ever really knows what the other knew.....
But sometimes a jealous friend or ex gets a hold of the information and turns a person's world upside down.
I'm sorry but there are very few ladies I have met over the years that I would want to have opened myself up that much to at the time.
My life today is a bit different and I'm not as concerned but I simply do not recommend anyone subject themselves to what many of you ladies want.
Come on people..... Look at the ladies that constantly put this subject out here for discussion...... Who is missing from it all the time?
Well.... Go through the review section and the hottest, youngest, freshest providers are never a part of any of this....
Screening is a lot like Protected Sex in the hobby. Most act like it happens because to admit the opposite means to bring down negative criticism on themselves.
How many Austin P411 Providers are there? How many Austin Providers? I would take a guess and say that the number those that are members are a far cry from those that turn tricks....

It's late errr early. My attention span is not that long during the Wee hours. I won't answer your questions, sir. That would be more information than I care to divuldge. I was only trying to provoke thought and discussion.
Note to self: I do not need a controversial screening threAD to get Whisper's attention. I only need a flashlight with a big W!!
Who knew?!
HOURS LATER....
I just returned home with a really strong flesh light. It has a big W on it. I pointed it at the sky. I sat and patiently waited. Two flashes, on and off. Nada
Am I supposed to shine continuous light, 3 quick on/off's?! You said you would come. Alas, no Whispers magically appearing on my doorstep.

The good thing about not being fresh or new or the hottest, lol, is experience... I know exactly what I am looking for and NOT looking for in a client when screening.
I understand a client's fears about divulging information. Some ladies are bat shit CRAZY. Personal Risk/reward must be evaluated. Men and women must choose wisely, what and to whom they give their information to.

And how many of those hottest, youngest, freshest providers end up being raped, beaten, pimped, robbed and gone because they didn't screen? The girls that disappear like a fart in the wind after only a few months here? Do you really expect us to believe that the majority of them found a sugar daddy and were taken off the market? Yeah, right. I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of the naive young providers have something bad happen to them, and because no one really cares when a whore is assaulted/raped/robbed, they simply fall by the wayside.
