Hung Fong's on Broadway.
Ding How on Loop 410 at Callaghan

Yes Pb, I remember Golden Phoenix back in those days.

Peng's on Bandera Rd. Is one of my highly recommended one.

I've always liked Hong Fong on Broadway and Ding How on Callaghan & IH-10.

I used to work near Hong Fong many years ago... I thought their broccoli beef always tasted like chinese carne guisada strips with broccoli.... just my two cents.... Their was a Vietnamese place nearby that had tasty spring rolls Van's I believe was the name.... but the cleanliness of the facilities was sometimes questionable.... maybe they have cleaned up since...

For real Chinese, Kim Wah is good, especially the Peking Duck. Dim sum at Golden Wok is good. Also try Sichuan Cuisine on NW Military and Tang St, on 281 near Brookhollow. You have to ask for the Chinese menu there. In general, there's little really good Asian food here.

Kim Wah's not bad. I remember the portions not being too big but that's just my opinion. Never tried the Peking Duck, though. May give it another chance...

Choango on Broadway just outside Loop 410, inside strip mall. Great Thai food as SF and I will attest! Reasonable prices. Order the mild as even the medium is fiery!!!

+1 to what repete offender said.

Just watch out for the spicy factor which is actually marked on the menu.

I recommended Kim Wah earlier in this thread. And I'll stick to that, but a big CAVEAT should be added that it does take a LONG ASS TIME to get served your meal.

Me, my half italian/half korean friend and his brother went their one time and waited 40 minutes for our grub. We were so grumpy about it that we were arguing and bickering with each other and now I don't go out to eat with him and his brother anymore. But I"ve been back to Kim Wah a few times after that and ha've had their tofu plate, Sesame ball dumplings with that chocolate-like filling, Peking Duck, Won Ton Soup which includes a lot of broth.

The thing about Kim Wah is that its really good, but they do take FOREVER.

Default the votes are in!

Ok everyone the votes are in and First Place goes to Kim Wah on Bandera Rd which got 7 votes dispite claims of slow service! Second Place goes to Ding How on loop 410 and callaghan which got 4 votes! And Third place is a tie between Asia Kitchen on 410 and Marbach and Hung Fong on Broadway which both got 3 votes!

We clearly have a winner so far! I will be scoping these out and taste testing them while on my vacation and will report back soon!

Happy Eating my friends!
