It's still a 10 year old scotch. It doesn't get any better in bottle. An old bottle can be worth more if it's rare and desirable, meaning it was a really good scotch and you can't get it anymore (no supply.) The bottle you have is probably not worth much unless a collector wants it for some reason.
Edit: To give you an example, the 1972 Caperdonich 38yo was limited to 70 bottles. I was able to buy 4 of them, drank one, gave one away and have two saved. Those may go up in value over time since the Caperdonich distillery no longer exists (it's been demolished after bankruptcy.) Though I'll probably drink em any way

. MacAllan most likely bottled an insane amount of 10yo scotch in 1986, like they do with their 12s, 18s, etc... MacAllan is a solid scotch, but it is a mass market product.
