I don't recall saying I was solely the subject of that argument. I made a general statement. I am sure everyone knows people that have been engaged with the stuff going on that are out of commission for for a bit of time. As there are an estimated 39,000 working out there now. Some 20,000 on beach clean up across the gulf and 17,500 national guard.

Not to mention the people putting in a full week out in the sun , taking a day off, not particularly having the energy to do much more then rest, read and surf given the conditions. Especially since tomorrow is another day and it is not going away anytime soon.

Or the small business owner who is directly effected and waiting to see how things are going to shake out, not having the fiscal security to risk any non-necessity spending right now. I guess they could get rid of their internet as well, but it is nice to have a little diversion every once in a while from what is going on.

It is a complex issue with many different facets that effect everything, including the hobby. So I stand by the more pressing issues argument as it will effect hobbying on many different levels for many different reasons. It is not a simple I post therefore I am issue.

Well at 23 one would expect a bit better grammar and spelling and less of the ghetto talk i would think. Perhaps Bic C is right, when BR folk showed interest and you changed the plan, you were in fact just as guilty of abandonment as those who are in the Greater BR area.

Either way with your last posting I believe many a learned man would avoid you like the Plague, the one thing any "Professional" provider learns very quickly is to never act as if you are doing the Client a favor by seeing them. Imagine if you as a customer walked into your local grocery and were treated in that manner, would you return to said establishment?
At 200 per hour, i would expect someone to be greatful for my patronage, not treat me as if i should grovel above my donation. First there is a reason you are traveling, if you were turning a large profit in your home area, you would not have need to travel to seek income. I say this as perhaps those in your own area are aware of what we are now becoming aware of, you are far from professional or someone of class.

Okay, let me make sure I understand your position here.....It's fine for YOU to post and diss the guys of NOLA for the fact that you had to sit around all day and do nothing when you made what amounted to a short notice tour to NOLA.....YOU feel that you did the guys a favor by even bothering to make the tour (again, a short notice tour) to NOLA despite the fact that many providers talk bad about the city, therefore, these guys should be appreciative of the fact that you decided to grace them with your presence.....

However, YOU feel that it's just plain wrong for these undeserving guys to complain that you didn't return any communications (via PM, phone, or whatever) because you can do what you want (such as not replying to anyone if you just don't feel like it).....Also, it's jusst plain wrong and we have no right to point out any of YOUR shortcomings, such as the absolute piss-poor planning which definitely contributed towards your having to sit in your room all day with nothing to do.....And now because some of us guys did bring up your own shortcomings and your contributions, we're not gentlemen and it's out there for the rest of the providers to see.....
