The Democrats have plenty of politicians making stupid comments: Biden, Waters, Jackass Lee... the list goes on.

The main problem is that when a Republican makes a stupid statement its the lead story on the news, at the top of the webpage and derided on the talk shows. When the a Democrat makes a stupid statement its not publicized or dismissed with a "That's Joe being Joe."

Jindal actually said something that had some truth to it which is as smart as it gets lately in the Republican party. If he had said it before the election he would have been run out on a rail like Christie for not toeing the party line (like the Communists do). You didn't get the point at all.
