The word "misogyny" means the hatred of women. Its root is from two Greek words, "misogynia", to hate and "gyne" - woman. Misogynistic is the adjective describing the act of hating women.

Unless someone can give me - or us - a recent and specific example on what they consider is a misogynistic tone in Co-Ed threads, then I don't think the comments and opinions of hobbyists has taken on a hateful turn.

See, now here-in lies the problem with the internet. Misogyny means a hatred or contempt for women, nor just hatred. Now contempt and hatred are two different parts of a similar palette on a spectrum. Same definition for misandry and a misogynous is a "hateful or contempful woman".. Quite a few here do seem to be misogamists with a "hatred or contempt for marriage" but that is a whole different story. You can argue meaning wether in the normally accepted realm or dive into the clinical psychiatry arena. And with all things mental, there are varying degrees of the misogyny, misandry, misogamy, misogynous symptoms.

Some just manifest themselves in a simple desire to always have the last word when conversing with a lady if one is a misogynist. Ok, check point one as it seems that is quite often the case here. Sadly, I think crystal got her answer by the pervasive internet "pack" mentality that occurs on nearly every forum. This one seems to go to even greater extremes due to the heightened physical experience many share (hobbiests and provider) or not share (which seems to multiply the effect by several powers). In any group setting where there a primal sense of male superiority or dominance drives the ability to get the better mate, the is a subliminal desire by all males to be that dominant gorilla in the pack and for the ladies to want to be the one desired (most reviews, best reviews, most graphic detail, tales of endowment, etc....) Sit back and really try to understand what a poster truly intends by the language they use.

If one factor's in the physical risks, the physical attractions or distractions, the taboo factor for hobbling, stress levels for those with SO's/Wives, etc, etc... and it is no wonder that the co-ed becomes a powder keg that sets each of us at the other's neck. Sadly, as part of the electronic "ME" era the ability to empathize, to put us in the other persons shoes is diminishing. Empathetic feelings are less when reading a written word than when talking to someone where you can see facial expressions and hear tonal inflections. As more and more people spend less time interacting one-on-one the "Me" or "narcissistic" era is growing.

Back to the nuances of language...its amazing the battles I've been reading here on one side telling the other what they should or should not do for screening. How so many will claim to "not be speaking for the someone's posts" and yet do exactly that by interpreting the initial posters comments. This board should be a required 300 series class for anyone wanting to go into any form of psychiatry.

Not wk'ing or dissing anyone, but crystal was spot on wondering why the ladies do not post in coed. I personally would love to hear what other ladies have to say as to why they don't post and would hope the board would listen empathetically, try to understand their point of view, and maybe implement some personal behavior corrective actions to make this truly a place where sex and fun and a free flowing exchange of ideas could occur.

Just my 2cents based on what I've read lurking here.....

I have found that the angry male posters that spew venom toward opinionated ladies have a deep seated jealousy of the hobbiests' that can afford to hobby whereas they (the angry males posters) cannot (proven by the ongoing bitch about rates in other threads). But yet, they are still on the board because they need to feel close to hot women and this board is their only bet because membership is free and cost of bcd is minimal. Still, they are angry that they are too pathetic to score outside the hobby and too broke to hobby. Not speaking for all of the angry posters, just a pattern of behavior I have noticed over my hobby career. Others are angry because they are really gay. And the rest- inexplicable (probably early childhood baggage of which therapy was also out of the budget).

Now, the reason that I still love the board and the gentlemen is because the gentlemen that can afford to hobby tend to be sexy, energetic, educated, and usually attached to beautiful trophy women but still enjoy variety and value discretion, meaning they are more than capable of scoring outside the hobby but choose not to risk having an affair when relationships with no strings attached is so available and affordable.

Thank you to those men who do hobby and also to those that don't hobby (for whatever reason) but who still make the boards worth reading.

I don't think you're illiterate but I do think you seriously underestimate the intelligence of ladies in the age range you specified. If a guy were to make a statement similar to yours he'd be hammered for being sexist.

I'm all for ladies posting in coed but when you use the forum to advertise (see above) or make an unwarranted attack on other ladies (calling CK catty for pointing out that you misspelled her name) most readers aren't going to appreciate it.
